Fun fact, the engineers at Ford WANTED TO remove that huge console shifter. In fact, in the Super Duty trucks, it is a column shifter. However, marketing found that F150 buyers vastly preferred having that massive console shifter, so engineering got told no.

100% this.  I could care less if my automatic has a stick.  Not having one frees up a little space in regards to at least the “feel” of the interior and I’m not so dumb I can’t figure out how to use buttons or a dial.  I say keep those and continue to innovate till we come to a new standard.

The overall tone of the ad, the wording makes me hesitate. On the face of it, seems like it should be a NP, but the seller comes across as a dickhead and $6200 is too much to put up with the hassle! So No Dice because I wouldn’t want to deal with this guy and his boy-racer modifications.
