absolutely. point lookout for fallout 3 had incredible potential, too, and was actually pretty well executed but could have been just magnificent.
I preferred the DC Wastelands and New Vegas to 4 in the same way I’ve preferred Vice City and San Andreas to subsequent GTA games. I thought they were funnier/more immersive/weirder and a better roleplaying experience, even though they don’t (and just can’t) blow your nips off in some of the same ways that 4 does.
