Steam was a goddamn mess at launch, and it was horrible for dial-up users. I recall spending around 15 hours to get everything installed and configured only to discover the in-game menus refused to load. (It was honestly like Valve was trying to stream them in.) I pretty much swore off the client until I had access to

It always baffles me when people who work in the game industry side with or defend shitty business practices. You presumably grew up playing video games, and you’re presumably also a consumer. Please tell me what about the design of MK11's unlock system is preferable to the ones featured in past games. Please also

I think part of the reason why digital music purchases became so popular is because it enabled users to purchase only the tracks they wished to listen to. There isn’t really an equivalent draw for video games.

I mean, I guess we’re seeing more compartmentalization in games, especially fighting games, but content being

I might actually break down and watch this season now. It’s just not the same without Tim Gunn, though (Although, on the plus side, no Zac Posen! :D)

Now I’m curious if those rotating ice blocks were part of the inspiration for the ones that appear in Yoshi’s Woolly World.

There’s one on the Virtual Boy. :p But seriously, I’d love to see more games with a “flooded world” scenario.  Discovering new islands in Wind Waker was a blast.

While the merits of Epic’s store or the changes planned can be disputed, I just want to say how much I absolutely love the idea of making development roadmaps public. Every game developer should be doing this, especially if they’re trying to pass off their game as a service.

Hell, Bioware could just do this for Anthem

Re-reading that justification seems especially odd now that Yoshi’s Woolly World exists. I guess Good-Feel figured out how to simulate yarn digestion.

Sarcasm aside, I found the original game enjoyable if a bit dull. The additions for the 3DS version look great but the removal of co-op is disappointing albeit

Dog’s Life features one man voicing 32-different characters.  It’s among the finest trash you can buy for the Playstation 2.

True story, I ask for or buy Andy Capp’s Hot Fries every year for Easter. I also pick up a bag whenever I’m on a long road trip. It’s just become my thing.

Not to mention Crossfire, DLC Quest, Quiet, Please!, Breath of Death VII, Bleed, and Bird Assassin.  There were a lot of really great games published to the service.  It was just a nightmare wading through all of the crap.

I never realized the Official Xbox Magazine reviewed XBLIG titles. Are you able to share any of your old reviews?

If I’m not mistaken, Xbox LIVE Arcade games used to be restricted to 50 MB as well.  Microsoft wanted to ensure at least one downloadable title could fit on their 64 MB Memory Card.

Mayo is god-awful but mustard’s almost as bad. It overpowers whatever you put it on top of. PSA: Mustard should not be put on burgers, period. (It should not be a default condiment for hotdogs, either.) If you still insist on using mustard, make sure it is one or more of the following: sweet, spicy, or coarse. None of

While I own the original game, I may give the free-to-play version a go if DLC characters are included in the rotation. I’m not really keen on paying $30 for the Season Pass. (I paid half that for the actual game...)

The emotional side of me is sad to see Reggie go.  The cold, logical side of me is like, “Now would be a really good time to ask about Mother 3.”  (Hint, hint Jason and/or Stephen.)

Another point in the “dead” column is that none of the new content announced for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is coming to the 3DS version.  I don’t expect a two-player mode but it’s weird that new maps are off of the table.
