What’s annoying is I’ve yet to see any retailer drop the price on the original SKU’s for the newly branded Select titles. Super Mario Maker for 3DS is still $40 everywhere I go. I’ve even seen a $40 version of one of the Zelda games sold alongside the $20 Select version.

But that could also have something to do with your ability to speak 8(?) different languages. :p

I remember renting a Japanese copy of the first game from my local Video Avenue but not much else. Either the game didn’t make a big impression or the language barrier proved too great. Now I’m bummed I dismissed the series because the second one sounds awesome.

Have you ever played MRC? That’s a personal favorite of

And now I need to try the Dippin’ Dots cereal. (I’ll gladly take the opened box off of your hands, btw.) Does it taste anything remotely like space ice cream? Because I love me some freeze-dried, ice cream facsimile. (Seriously.)

As for the other cereals, I’ve only tried Sour Patch Kids. The weirdest thing about it for

After consuming several bowls, I feel I overstated the crunch-factor. The cereal pieces are not nearly as brittle as Captain Crunch. They’re more comparable to Fruit Loops.  So sour Fruit Loops in soupy yogurt.

I’m blanking on what happens to her in MKX but I hope we’ll see her again in MK11.  She was pretty fun to play as.  Lots of tricks and traps

Thanks to your help, I was able to procure a box of Sour Patch Kids cereal at my local Wal-Mart. It was marked down to $3 in what I assume is a semi-desperate attempt to convince people to buy and eat it. Thankfully, or regrettably, I did not take much convincing. I shall

Upon opening the packaging, I was greeted by

From what I recall, it was kind of unclear. The MKX comic takes place before the contemporary events we see in the game. There’s a point in which D’Vorah is ripped in half and seemingly dies. Her body eventually reforms but she pledges loyalty to Quan Chi soon after.

I’d like to think that she’s actually a Revenant.

My wife did not attend an all-girls’ school but I strongly suspect she and her friends went through a similar phase. That was a weird thing to learn about her. Thankfully, I found out prior to being subjected to it. :p

Now for an actual gameplay question, does the game allow you to use your own music during the rhythm

Thank you very much!  I shall check my local store.

Forgive the double-post, I realized I made a mistake with the prices I quoted you, and it’s too late to edit my original post. The monthly subscription service is $20 and individual characters range anywhere from $2 to $20. The thing is though that those purchases only give you a set amount of shards. And you need so

Fair enough. I like to refrigerate mine and eat them cold.  I feel it helps with the texture.  (Stale is good too!)

Dear Kellogg’s,

Couple [of] things:

1.) Why would you color the oats if you’re not going to flavor them? My mind keeps drifting towards Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks and you keep disappointing me.

Says the guy who’s never tried Sour Watermelon Peeps. :p

Okay, now I want to try this.  Is it still in stores and if so, where can I find it? :p

I’m not sure if this is any consolation to you, but he’s been added to the mobile version of the game. (As has Jade.)

While I mostly agree with you, the first MK’s violence is only cartoony in retrospect. The game used real actors and the blood and gore was more realistic than pretty much any game that had come before.

You’re not. I felt that way about MKX initially too. The story wound up sucking me in, and I guess I just became used to the gore over time. That said, I still cringed at a few of the fatalities showcased in the trailers for MK11. Real-life viscera just depresses me and I don’t seek it out or find it funny.

Mortal Kombat has always been kind of nuts and comic-book-y. There are elder gods, sorcerers, four-armed beings, demonic-looking humanoids with retractable blades in their arms, elemental ninjas, cyborg ninjas, undead ninjas, clones, resurrections, multi-dimensional travel, babalities, animalities, a fallen elder god,

Cassie Cage was patterned after Ronda Rousey’s likeness in MKX.
