THAT ANSEL IS SO HOT RIGHT NOW.

Everyone loves a ginger biscuit!

#GNUTerryPratchett

I lost it at *vaggles aibraus*.

Islands, dude.

Yeah. Gold and white.

In fairness, that's pretty standard for a cinema in Glasgow.

I think being very self-conscious about where you are socially is a middle class thing - if you're upper class or working class you're generally damn sure of it, whereas if you're middle class there's that 'keeping up with the Jones's' aspect.

The clearest depiction of class in Britain I've seen is Grayson Perry's documentary series where he investigates the tastes of the different classes - 'All in the Best Possible Taste'. It's absolutely brilliant, and spot on.

Christian Bale looks like the crazy guy you cross the street to avoid in that gif.

Equal opportunity creepy objectification!

That's it! Prepare to be up all night reading it though :)

I actually quite liked the movie version, although the race-makeup was distracting and a bit insulting. Jacob De Zoet is sublime - I think Cloud Atlas is probably his masterpiece though.

I loved the Gone Away World! Have you read Lauren Beaukes? The Shining Girls and Broken Monsters are pretty good. The Girl With All the Gifts is also a recent fave.

Live, damn you! LIIIIIVE!

Yeah, I was surprised by how much I recognised the 'Dublin look'. It really is a thing!

Hide a skateboard under it and just have your new spouse just sort of gently wheel you about.

Shut up and take my money.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE (movie from 1986 worth watching).
