I was kind of wondering that too- I've been on all types of public transport in the UK and Ireland and nothing like this has ever happened to me or anyone I know (although I realise that that doesn't mean it doesn't happen). The worst thing is occasional annoying drunk people. Is this a uniquely NY thing?
