Ben - Didn't Buick already court your love with a full über junket to Nürburgring and the Great Wall of China? What does the old dame Buick need to do to close the deal?

@djdare: My dad certainly has some Bluth like qualities ... I distinctly remember him canceling a few trips to the family cabin because a "lady friend" lost her dog. ;-)

TPMS ... I always had a strange paranoia of under pressurized tires and for good reason. When I was 11 I saw a the tire of a Mercury Colony Park station wagon explode on route 17 in upstate NY. Car nearly flipped over and end up plowing into the grass median. My dad watched without emotion and kept on driving. I

@tonyola: Agreed. Customizable dashboard "themes/skins" and "apps" will be a common sight in the next decade. Nostradazacarious foresees a Jalop Malaise skin being a big hit for the Gen X and Yers.

@CivicSi653: "power speed boats and divers waited on the other side of the river in case of a disaster" is close

Jet powered 70s cars? Time to post this youtube gem for the twelfth time. The total ignorance of aerodynamics and contempt for gravity is truly outrageous and never gets old. Kinda makes me want to build my own jet/rocket car - up until the breaking apart in midair part.

NatGeo maps are the best - and still the best best part of the magazine — although my affinity for google maps and bing maps grows daily.

@Buickboy92: Because you have balls that you are willing to sell and take full advantage of the opportunity provided ... bravo Brett, bravo.

How about the "handy" reminder wheels on the Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta. It was marketed as the digital Camaro yet came with an abacus.

The water drop roof on the Nissan Cube - even though my little one thinks it's the funniest thing ever.

@VMA1T: because you are never safe ... EVER

@jodark: Agreed. I've had the pleasure of thrashing one of these on a number of occasions. So much f*cking fun. Scoffed at them at first, now they haunt my motoring memories.

BMW - 1 Series. It's totally over priced and strangely proportioned, yet it's probably the best recent expression of what made BMWs great. I.e. - they are full of driver feedback, small, RWD, and have a great power to weight ratio for the price. Hated them at first, now I think I want one.

Some still do. The Phantom can be configured with a champagne cooler and flutes.

@zacarious: there's my baby ... even when posting pictures, Laforzas give you trouble

Laforza - Simply to see if I could test the limits of Matt's offer of "enough spare parts, tools and fuel to keep it running in perpetuity."

@jdogg795: its the lack of thumbs ... how could anthropomorphic cars create an entire civilization without thumbs?
