There’s no doubt Lewis’s family decided who would speak at his funeral, and it’s possible Lewis himself gave his input before he passed on. If they were ok with GWB speaking at the service (for a fraction of the time President Obama spoke), I’m ok with it too.

Do you also get the sense that if the crazy swordsman pulls his sword wood replica on someone with a (legal) firearm and gets shot, the shooter would be charged? I can imagine McClay on the witness stand, testifying about the dozen times the sword guy menaced people but he was really “harmless”.

How should it have been phrased? The sentence “Joshua has the mental development of an elementary school-aged boy.” gives me a good idea of the challenges Joshua (and his caregivers) face, how would you word it to get the same idea across?

My condolences to Judge Salas and her family. Maybe reducing access to federal judge’s information would have prevented this, but what about reducing Hollander’s access to firearms? The latter would also benefit a lot more Americans than approximately 870 federal judges and their families.
