Except not really. This was a demonstration to show how much closer EV long haul trucking is to a practical, everyday reality - not just a random haul. We don’t know how he was paid to do this - it may have been by the mile. It may have been by the hour. It may have been a specific contract. Presumably they wouldn’t

No, that’s not your argument. You’re first line was exactly that HER claim is implausible because she kept interacting with him. Read your own posts.

Yes, the naysayers will claim that the truck barely limped across the finish line. That it took far longer than a diesel equivalent. That they needed ‘bailout’ trucks along the way. That this demonstrates how lacking infrastructure is, even in Europe. Blah blah blah - none of that is wrong.

I mean, good for them. They aren’t hurting anyone (outside of themselves and whatever frostbite they receive). And I’m sure that their wives appreciate a little time to themselves.

Were they accepting reservations by email or telephone?

I didn’t try to insult you, I did insult you - you dullard.

You’re not very smart, are you. It seems you have trouble remembering even simple statements you’ve made in the same exchange.

There’s data and analysis everywhere supporting this. If you’re generally interested - and not just some weirdo men’s rights troll - spend 5 seconds with google.

OK, that’s all well and good. If there’s other evidence that’ll be brought forward and her claims either validated or undermined. But that does nothing to support the ludicrous claim that a victim continuing to interact with their abuser is evidence that claims of abuse or fake. Abused people ‘stick with’ their

If it were just about the tax breaks, they could just donate that amount of money to whatever charity they chose.  Clearly it’s at least a little about the car.

I agree in some cases. But this is about juvenile diabetes research - I figure that’s a good place to spend money fixing an issue that won’t resolve itself outside of solid, well funded, research.

You’re right. Accusations are not proof.

As long as the money does actually end up in the hands of people that will do good with it, I don’t find this particularly offensive.  Or offensive at all for that matter.

You understand that this is almost two years old now, right?

They made sense to the extent that they were mad about something that was happening. Whether the feds could do anything about it or not.  Now they’re just mad because they’re mad and want attention.

What are these idiots even protesting? There are no mask mandates. We’ve largely let the unvaccinated participate in society while still being morons. They have what they claimed they wanted. So unless it’s now just all about getting attention and continuing to be both loud AND incredibly stupid - I don’t get it.

I think this counts in spirit - if not according to the letter of the request.  I’m going old-school, the Jaguar D-type from the mid-50s. It won, and it looked damn good doing it:

I’ve heard them referred to as nature’s gym-bros.  I don’t disagree.

OK.  I don’t disagree.  But those are still purposes.

It’s not a loophole if it’s intentional. I’ve always viewed a loophole as an unintended miss in the drafting of legislation that let people ‘get away’ with the stuff they were trying to regulate.
