Alright, when does the 120 foot tall Kangaroo start ravaging Perth?

There are so, SO many. But to me, it’s a car that could be reasonably afforded, but that would simply nickel and dime me to death. It’s too easy to say a new 911 would ruin be financially simply because it would require me to leverage every asset I own to purchase.

Sometimes you sue to make a point. And because people who do ridiculously dangerous stuff like this should have to pay a price.  if I was Leno, I might very well sue, and then donate the damages to a Children’s hospital, or something.

OK - and the proposal wouldn’t apply to certain industrial uses until 2039 and presumably any industry that could demonstrate that no alternatives exist could be provided with specific exemptions.

This is a pretty weird comment. How is it ‘gross’ to give a pet the same moral consideration you’d give a person? If someone prefers the company of their pet to other people - again - where’s the harm? As long as they aren’t hurting people, that seems like a perfectly fine perspective to hold.

Love the way chrome looks - particularly on a classic.  But this is the right move.  Chrome plating is needlessly toxic.

The MTA cited it as a tweet on the wall, including a down-to-the-minute timestamp like you’d see in a blog post.

I was torn between suggesting this, or the Alfa Romeo Giulia... I figured this was the more reliable choice between the two.

I’d seriously look at the Jaguar XE. Not common. But it comes under budget at MSRP (barely), looks fantastic, is guaranteed to be comfortable and also pretty fun to drive.

God I miss my GTI. Sold it for a Miata, and loved that decision at the time. But now that my roadster days are behind me, I wish I had it back.

... the giant electric truck would likely only start in 2024.”

My mechanic friend.

The sanctity of our cars?

Came here to say the same thing. Golf is wrong. Simply by virtue of the fact that it’s still a relatively boxy, 5 door hatch, with evolutionary styling and without a lot of (or any, really) ‘go-fast’ flourishes (see: Civic, Corolla, etc.) it stands out in really good way in the sea of compact cars.

haha - Old roadie and gravel habits die hard. Motors, on a BIKE? Heresy! Burn them all!

Why use lithium for e-bikes? Just work those quads.

Yeah, but those options are hardly as edgy to talk about online.  Got to maintain that internet-cred on Jalopnik.

Standardize working from home for anyone who can feasibly do it. We did this for years over COVID, and society marched along. How many millions of miles of pointless, mind-numbing, environment destroying, soul crushing, travel would be eliminated by doing that one thing?

I feel like you never read “If you Give a Mouse a Cookie”.

43 years ago, actually.
