You know what? This article made me happy. Genuinely warm and fuzzy. Why? Because now that we’ve had a death in a self driving car, traffic fatalities have left the realm of hoping the driver isn’t stupid and have entered the realm where it’s an engineering problem.

Honest question, is there even a situation anymore where the US would actually start conscripting people? We didn’t use it to overthrow Iraq. We didn’t use it to try to stop the DPRK from getting nukes. We clearly won’t bother using it if we go to war against someone with a nuclear arsenal. Who’s left, ISIS? They’d

I’m curious why you think it'll take longer than most people do. Any reason in particular?

How feasible would it be for Blizzard to make PotG into something solved by a neural network rather than just a fire accumulator? Sure, it would still put out weird shit now and then, but it would at least be able to recognize things that the current system can’t even dream of understanding.

you could have them play while everyone is on the postgame stats screen...

Eh, I feel like this is more just a symptom of a techy running a car company. The two industries just operate very differently.

That’s too bad. Was hoping.. Still, it should cut down on fuel needed to decelerate then, which would cut launch costs, so at least there's that.

Wow it’s been a long time since I’ve seen that first video, or at least it seems that way. They’ve come a long way since it was posted. I am thoroughly impressed.

Well... That’s interesting... If they can pull it off, that’ll be fantastic, but I’m questioning if they can... They’ve consistently not hit targets and they have build quality issues, but I can’t help but wonder if this is just the nature of starting a car company today. That there simply is no better way to do it,

...It... depends... There’s enough that Tesla can safely double global LIB production to pump out its 500k cars per year, but for how many years can we sustain radical growth beyond that? No idea.

Even if we could just convert matter into antimatter (which you can’t because reasons) to the point that we had an effectively infinite supply, the stuff is so fucking dangerous that it would be on lockdown like enriched uranium is today. You might have antimatter reactors in warships and power plants, but they’ll

This is more or less my feeling from being in the beta. Very cool, but it’s not the sort of game I can see myself getting invested in long-term.

I feel like “Yes, I’m serious” could be applied to just about any japanese series. It’s like calling water wet.

I’m kinda in the same boat. (Admittedly, I worked for Volvo for a couple years, so bias, blah, blah, blah.)

Any guesses on how long it’ll be before pixelation on VR is a thing of the past? I tried a friend’s DK1 back in college, but the pixelation and screen door effect irked me to no end.

So CHKN is a game entirely populated by Mistwraiths. Got it.

Yes and no. The big thing is that we’ll need a new way to navigate viewing areas. Quite honestly, the whole idea of monitors as dock-walled viewing areas is made obsolete by this. If this can be combined with a convenient gesture-based window resizing system, I suspect we’ll see the whole idea of a monitor die.

Okay, fine. NOW I want VR. I didn’t think it would ever happen, but fine. Gimme.
