Even St. Louis has a very large network of steam pipes throughout the downtown area. I appreciated all the genuinely informative posts. Not all of us are from places that use this as a heat source. 

Most big cities use steam for heating buildings.  Detroit, Chicago, NY, Seattle, just to name a few. 

Don’t know about power, but you can get some mighty fine steamed hams downtown.

Steam is cheaper than most alternatives for heat. It's also not as bad for the environment compared to other forms of heat. Seattle still has steam.

I’m not a pro detailer by any means but my understanding is that the foam better encapsulates dust particles. The soap is a surfactant and allows the dirt to fall away from the paint without marring it. My washing procedure with the foam cannon is pressure wash the car with water, foam it, wash the foam off, foam…

Get yourself a Karcher, they cost five bucks these days, spray detergent in a squirt bottle, flash the wand over it to foam it up and away you go! Minimises scratches in the paint, especially on black. I use a citrus based detergent without any drama.
