I recently had a conversation with my child-raising friends where they intoned that they’re already saving up enough money to buy their kid a brand-new car in the year she turns 16 and learns how to drive “so she can have all the modern safety tech/etc”.

Exactly!  I have a home depot about 1/2 miel from me that always has a $20/hour truck.  The two times a year i need to get tires swapped...it’s perfect.  :)

If theres any threat of a weather change...i only do the driver window...mostly because I can’t reach the other window cranks when I’m driving....

b is there for the already, or burgeoning, famous.  the point is to get ahead of the apology and admittance.  people are going to find it anyway, better you break the story and be up front about it than have to play defense.

b is specifically designed to get ahead of the issue because, if you’re even remotely famous, people are going to dig into the wayback machine and find them anyway.

The benefits go beyond general day/night too. I mean...the benefits to dark windows are huge: protects the interior; less glare when driving, cooler, etc...

I’ve spent most of my driving-life under the assumption that Reverse Lights are nothing more than an indicator to other drivers that you’re backing up.

Then again...I also currently daily a car that never had reverse lights so....

Because car manufacturers are SO good at designing and updating intuitive and OTA updating mapping software...

I know...who would ever need to look at a phone screen while driving when manufacturers are SO good at intuitive, and OTA updated map systems...
