What command are you using to install it on your OG Droid — that's the exact phone I've got, and it worked on mine fine. Granted, I've got C2.3, but the app says it only needs 2.2.

...could you tell me the service you used, perhaps? :P

I've heard about companies that you can send your laptop battery to and they'll replace the cells inside for you — anyone have any information on them?

Aye— either wait for the new Google App pack (which could take a while), or try to hack it yourself, using something like: [forum.cyanogenmod.com] href="http://lifehacker.com/entry219876/">#entry219876

    Just go here:

Okay, I'll say it — I'm honestly trying to think of an area that I'm going to travel to that I'm going to street level mapping for _and_ doesn't have cellular service. I'm not thinking of anything. I've been traveling with an smartphone for 3 years now, and it's never really been an issue.

They're still keeping the source code under wraps. Very unfortunate.

It still needs some more dev, but what I'm seeing is very promising. Pretty easy to get started, too.

Your Android contacts should be backed up automatically to your Google account. Been that way since Android 1.0. :\ I've never had a problem with them being restored, no matter how many times I wiped and flashed.

Getting loaded with Viagra and then being forced to impregnate women for hours is rape — I don't think the writers of the scene were trying to imply it was fun for Jason in any way.

Reminds those conservatives who agreed to fund Planned Parenthood federally in the first place back in the late 60's and early 70's, too.

If you want to stick to other distros, that's fine, but I'd recommend staying away from Linux Mint — its paradigm of trying to imitate Windows is a dead end.

Great work, but I think I'll just wait until Google starts handing them out for free! :P That being said, I can see running it from a flash drive just to test out.

I think you're stretching a bit there. Most people have played Counterstrike for a decade now on latencies nowhere near 30-50ms, and have done just fine.

Yeah, like the article pointed out, "I'm a moderate bandwidth user" and "Apple TV, Netflix" doesn't compute. Most people have no idea how much bandwidth they're using, do they?

Yeah, 250ms must be normal for Clear 4G, but LTE's usually around the 30-50ms range. MUCH different.

or, try thinking of it the other way.

Well, on my side I kind of disagree with your point of view. I'm no Apple fanboy, but I definitely think it's a sound step in UI for all of us. I'll give it a try. About your Windows 8 and MS comparison, I think it's too much a geeky danish approach to usability, a bit like some great looking danish furniture, good to

haha no one talks to montana.

Gives all new meaning to the phrase "Wait 'til they get a load of me," doesn't it?
