Thanks for the reply. The point here is that your boss should be sure to align your performance with your salary. This is exactly the reason people don't get what they ask for when asking for a raise. It could be that the boss never took the time to align/evaluate the employee's performance with their salary.

I got a raise without asking. Maybe I just have a good boss. The boss should always do the work/research like that. That's their job. They are responsible for your salary, not you.

I consider myself as a conscientious person based on these description. However, recently a survey told me that I lack of autonomy, which I think it means I am weak under no governance. Pretty confused haha.
