It’s almost like rape isn’t about sex, but power or control ...

Entirely possible, I’m just responding to the OP who is talking about how internet commenters reacted (his initial post had a screenshot of someone saying that the “surrender your passport” order was over-the-top). We didn’t have that information, so his acting like reacting to the information that actually was

Even if that’s how it started, it still looks like he lied to the police. How fucking dumb does he have to be not to realize it’s time to admit that he lied to his mom instead of repeating the lie in a police station?

Lochte told his mom, who told the press, and then (I think) the cops called them in to get their story.

Except this is 100% new information. When the judge asked them to surrender their passport it was explicitly on the basis of conflicting accounts and not looking upset enough on CCTV after the fact. If the judge had said “don’t leave the country because we have a complaint against your behavior” from a business owner

He seems like an asshole, and she seems like a person who for whatever reason likes to surround herself with assholes (I feel like I’ve read that her boyfriend is completely gross too?). But this story started with A being accused of rape, B making stupid “think of the menz/what about lying bitches” comments in

Remember when I said he’d come back through and delete all these comments? It’s fun to be right all the time!

I actually quoted the portion of this post that is about the procedures for testosterone testing. There was a link in that quote to an article about gender. But the double-down-no-matter-what level of not understanding what is being communicated here is enough for me.

It is possible to test for testosterone, yes. As evidenced by the quote I already posted for you, it is not standard to test an athlete’s testosterone levels when testing for PED’s. It’s an additional test that is ordered if a woman is “flagged” for further testing.

I’m glad he got fired, and I’m not super invested in tearing her down for working with or even being friends with a guy who showed his ass online.

Testing for PED’s largely checks for synthetic and animal testosterones, steroids, whatever the Russians invented to win last time, and estrogen blockers. People who take PED’s aren’t shooting up human testosterone, as that is not a thing you can buy, and testing for it would be counterproductive, because everyone

No, they aren’t. “Essentially, if there were “reasonable grounds” for question (and that is in and of itself is suspect because who defines “reasonable grounds?” Competitors upset over being beaten?), that athlete would be flagged and her testosterone level would be tested.” Reading is fundamental.

It’s honestly hilarious to me. I expect him to come back through in an hour and start deleting comments.

Everything you just wrote is exactly what you’ve been saying all along, and what was debunked. “Three times” was in 2009, before the medication, as already shown. But continue declaring yourself correct based on .... feeling really right(? unclear), while Kris provides actual citations. It’s fun to watch!

If the reason they’re “bad kids” according to that list of behavior is because she’s their friend, then it’s only a matter of time for Suri, so Katie shouldn’t be lauded for the same behavior. If the reason they’re annoying to you isn’t because Jada’s their friend, then it shouldn’t be listed as a “bad mom” trait for

Dude, you point-blank said that she was 3 times the testosterone of a “normal woman” AFTER taking the testosterone suppressing therapy. (To wit: “Dude, she is NOT three times more than a normal woman. That’s what she was from 2011 to 2015 when she was taking TESTOSTERONE-INHIBITING MEDICATION.”)

I love that you’ve proved him wrong (citations and everything!) but he’s still decided he’s right, because ...

No, we’re not missing the point, but you are moving the goalposts. I’ll still play. You’ve said that it’s unfair to let her compete with “normal women” and that she has “non-natural” levels of testosterone. My point is that she is a woman, the hormones her body produces are made by a fluke of nature and not in any way

He’s chanting it in the comments, but there’s no evidence it’s true. From the post: “A year and so many press reports later, Semenya told the New York Times in 2010 that those medical results about her own body still had not been shared with her. Reporters call her intersex, although I couldn’t find a report in which

And again, her testosterone levels are not non-natural. The fact that other people would have to cheat to get to where she is by fluke of nature is the ENTIRE POINT OF FIGURING OUT WHO IS THE FASTEST PERSON IN THE FIELD, a/k/a the Olympic Games.
