This is a fair point and sound advice, but I’m severely lacking wildlings just now.

I stopped going to therapy in November because I just couldn’t talk about it and I knew it would come up.

What the ever living fucking fuck? I am, and this is no joke, making a fucking therapist appointment. I have lost all sense of wtf, and I lack the capacity to understand it and the strength to ignore it.

Good thing we dodged that Shillary. She would have pulled the same shit but probably even worse.

So would that also mean that thoroughly unqualified “legacy admissions” will be illegal? Several come immediately to mind...

Stained glass is my favorite color! It’s beautiful! Good for you!

Guess who is now the owner of this window and the world’s largest house key?

Most of the service members I’ve known have been extremely conservative. But when it comes to who serves with them they couldn’t care less as long as the person serving with them is a good service member.

That’s been my suspicion as well. It’s not the first time he’s tweeted and not followed through, but it’s the most glaring example I can think of of a bold statement followed by absolutely zero action.

Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of conservatism and issues in the military. That said, since the very first day I put on a uniform it was made abundantly clear that I was to treat people of other genders, races, ethnicities, and religions with dignity and respect, and if I couldn’t manage that, then I was the

Yup. We in the military have an obligation to refuse orders that are “immoral, illegal, or unethical.” If Adm. Zukunft believes that the orders he is being given to discriminate against his service members violate that criteria then he can absolutely push back on them.

There is actually very clear protocol. The military has clearly defined channels; twitter musings aren’t one of them. And can you imagine if it is? Someone could hack Trump’s account and order troops to occupy Cleveland!

Even the military can legally defy orders they believe to be illegal and take the matter to court, at the very least tying it up in litigation until post- Trump.

I don’t think you’re wrong. The majority of the armed forces is conservative and has voted that way for years.

Even 5 years ago this would have played better than now. We have the potential for a new world right now.... and the wrong person is leading the way in the US.

Thank you for articulating my feelings so well.

Maybe I’m just living in a bubble, but it really seemed like an obvious misstep to pull this bullshit today. Like, will this really play well for him politically? It’s not ten or twenty years ago.

“Her family is the United States Coast Guard. And I told Taylor, ‘I will not turn my back...”

We’re now in a situation where the heads of the US Armed Forces, traditionally some of the most stubborn socially conservative people on the planet, are more tolerant than the President.

I don’t believe it. I’d heard that every day is a winding road that Sheryl Crow careened off of into the Pacific ocean.
