I see no problem there. This is just an usual maneuver for parking in BMW world.

Actually, there's a ton of work in that exact problem and there are some pretty good solutions. The best one i saw was voice input + gesture. For example:
You're driving and want the AC up to the middle (like we do with knobs) you go "ok, google. AC" and then rub your finger anywhere on the screen swiping up or down…
You know what? Lane splitting is not that dangerous, anyone that rides a bike knows that. The problem is convince the other 98% of the street drivers (car drivers) that lane splitting is not as dangerous as it looks. Bikes can see pretty well from where they stand and if they don't go nuts, nobody gets hurt.

What I like about it is that it looks muscular. It looks like the "muscle guy" that all bad guys have as close security guys in movies. His face is dumb, but he sure looks like could kick your ass.
