Your exception list seems to be a who's who of the best in the genre. 

Hopefully with fewer bugs, a better story and varied gameplay. 

Now to finish Persona 5 Royal before the end of the month... Ugh.

I really quite enjoyed the first Dino Crisis. Glad it's being kept alive.

I had a lot of fun with part 2. I can't imagine I'll be picking this up though. You know, being in a state that won't even allow people access to the PUA application. 

It’s so darn good. That would be the “somehow leaps and bounds better than the original sequel”. 

I'm fifty hours into Persona 5 Royal and you have to post this picture reminding me of how much I enjoyed going through FFVII Remake. Square nailed the Honey Bee Inn. 

Because the game is absolutely terrible. 

No matter how well regarded Xenogears becomes, it will always be underrated. I would love to see it remade with the proper resources to flesh out/complete the second disc.

Add Valkyrie Profile Lenneth for Square titles, but I also enjoyed Star Ocean 1 & 2, Peace Walker, Jean D'Arc and Valkyria Chronicles 2.

Those missing three are all exceptional. 

I would love another Half-Life rip-off with destructible environments. I really enjoyed the first Red Faction. 

I didn’t want it to end either, which is why I immediately set about beating it on hard after the first playthrough. Once that was accomplished, I still didn’t want it to end, so I got all of the dresses. Then the final resolution. Then the platinum trophy. I did everything I could to prolong this experience. I can understand the derision in theory, but I felt so thrilled by the ending that I can't internalize most of the complaints. Square had me for the long haul, barring some crazy unforeseen missteps over the coming entries.
