Yeah, we knew less about most of the characters by this point in the original.

Play Astral Chain. At least then you can constantly say you're playing with your ass chain.

I own both Origins and Odyssey, but none of the games grabbed me the way AC2 did. Once I give Odyssey a fair shake, that may change.

Well, I mean, we can discuss the concept of spoilers, right?

“What if we released a virtual console that only streamed slightly older games... Not like classics, but games that are a year or so old, charged for the hardware and then charged full price for the game as though it were a new release? We can’t lose!”

This is the most elaborate NPC joke I've come across.

Same thing happened to me a long time ago with a psp. Sony made me jump through all sorts of hoops to refund me the $4.99.

Let's not dumb it down for the people in the back.

Then go play the experience you love. I was also one of the young teens who gravitated to the original release. I’ve played it more than any other title.

That's how I was able to win the pull-ups. I turned off music and voices, set audio to play through headphones and just focused on the "ping" sound of the button presses.

Just interrupt his attacks with the opposite magic, punish the tonberrys before they have a chance to move and thundaga the cutters. Arcane ward for 2for1 high level spells. Hell House may be my favorite fight in the game (type-0 Behemoth is a close second if not #1).

Even the little snippet flashbacks carry a lot more weight knowing what they're referencing. Wait until chapters 17 and 18. You're going to have a rough time.

And her scene outside the house is one of three possible scenes. On my first playthrough it was Aerith in the garden and the scene was incredibly touching. Second playthrough was Tifa. Looking forward to getting the Barret scene as well.

If only Kotaku had an employee that could translate the directions for us readers...

This is making me consider parting with my Soldier First Class Edition.

I have 70 hours into the game already. It's a complete game. A quite good one at that.

Also, the best Final Fantasy that isn't named Final Fantasy is Lost Odyssey.

The best Final Fantasy is Final Fantasy VI. Then IX. Then ... geez, I don’t know, VIII or IV.

The honey bee Inn was splendid. I absolutely adored the dance number. Square did so much right in this remake. Unfortunately the lows are more obvious as a result. That being said, I'm still on board with whatever they have planned for this adventure. It's lovely.

My mana is low.
