I ❤️ your columns. And here I thought I had men all figured out. You have surprised me — often. Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Wow. Maybe it needs to be noted, but IF you work in HOSPITALITY — and ever happen to spill something all over anyone, the appropriate response would be.
You’re right. I’m so unreasonable.
Had I pulled up, I’d have been promptly forgotten as is everyone who “pulls up”. The WAIT LANE is a known issue & I guess I protest a PATTERN OF BEHAVIOR more than that ONE INCIDEN.
It would not have been 2 minutes had I pulled to the 50 yard zone. I had the unfortunate experience of waiting there a couple of weeks earlier on a order of just a few items and it took 15 minutes in a not busy time. It’s a known problem.
No one else was in the drive thru. Period. Not then. Not when I left.
Grief has no rules and does not discriminate. Godspeed.
Yes, I have had those patients. Usually it involves them confusing RN for refreshments and narcotics instead of registered nurse.
I could have understood had there 1. Been anyone else in line; 2. Not been 0030 in the am & 3. They had not been staffed —— but NONE of these were true.
Every so often I’d have to run the dinner service for the ER. Yep, I know. It must suck to be a nurse. That part did. And no, no special orders. Pick. But, I had standards & wanted stuff done right. Like everything. Get it right!
I so LOVE your columns. I have never worked in food service and because of you, never will. (Tho I think I would be decent at it. I’d be fired quickly).
I’m am who I am. I work in a very male dominated industry and I don’t have time to edit my narratives to be more pleasing or less threatening (both are actual complaints I have heard from manager types over the years). Period.
Aaron is the ... HERO?
Me, too.
There are some here that actually fuck chickens (and roosters!). Literally. Not just that fried shit. I actually made a 911 call on a guy that had been shot in the head cause he violated a prized fighting rooster that belonged to a relative.
Not a lecture, but in this “Tinder” level mentality — it is astonishing to me the numbers of younger (18-25) that fail to maintain a situational awareness. Not that any woman “asks for it” or “deserves it” — but, a dark alley means DANGER, but going to a “private party” late at nite with a famous stranger means SAFE.…
So NOT a troll. I’ve just been in public service for 25 years of real victims and while I will go with believe the accuser — for NOW. I’ve seen this show before and certain historical experiences have proven that bar is high for prosecution. I’ve also seen false accusations be very destructive and manipulative — and…
This is NOT victim blaming. And sexual assault is, far too often, very real. But, perhaps a little perspective is in order here.
