The Audis can *quadruple* stint their tires, and are twenty seconds a lap faster. Yea, don’t think the “only need to change 2 tires” is really going to be a benefit there.
The car in race trim was about 8 seconds a lap slower than qualifying.
Dude, it’s not 1972. This whole “IT’S AN ENDUUUURANCE RACE” crap hasn’t been the standard in 15+ years. These cars are going out there and running full race pace laps the entire 24 hours. They’re not limping around at 6/10ths to save the car.
And they’re not going to be running the hybrid setup in the race either. It crapped out in testing, they skipped the first two WEC rounds due to reliability issues, and have now scrapped half their powertrain for the biggest race of the season. But you keep hanging on to that “saves time on a pit stop” thing there…
CFD.
Yea, Spec LMP2, Spec LMP3, and slowing the P1 cars down. Clearly an engineering showcase.
Using your eyes?
Sure, and if by some act of God All 3 Audis, all 3 Porsches, both Toyotas and the privateer LMP1 cars are all knocked out in a meteor or something, they’d still have the entire P2 field to contend with, who’s turning quicker laps than they are in race trim.
So, that 6 seconds a stop saved vs the 22-25 seconds a lap they lose. Yea, great strategy.
6 hours? Holy optimism. I’m figuring 2 hours tops.
Bahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha. “Cuts down on pit times”.
It’s the exact opposite of a singer right now. Old body and motor, new panels. Why bother?
A set of Nanjangs from pep boys will keep the body off of the ground just as well as a 380/pop set of PSCs. That’s all they need to do for this mouse nest.
It’s a non running 76 in california. That’s really all you need to know about the price.
It’s a ‘76 in California, which means it still needs to be smogged. A non-running ‘76 for that matter. As such, the car was essentially worthless. It’s been sitting for over a decade, so this was probably some body shop owner’s side project that he got bored of.
The only people trying to tell you that a 76 is a 60k car, is someone trying to sell you a ‘76.
It was probably fucked to begin with. Likely wrecked, hence the panel swap.
Man, he just *looks* like he’s ready to kick the shit out of an 8 year old that didn’t run out a groundout to first.
