The "peaches/tree" thing is an old blues "floating lyric" that goes back at least to the turn of the 20th century. This iteration seems to have been mainly influenced by Otis Redding in his song "Lovey Dovey". I think it was a pretty awesome meme, at least until Miller got his hands on it.

I don't get these comments. It seems to me pretty evident that within the universe of the show the costume is a work in progress. It's not supposed to look slick and cool because it's a first draft.
