“That’s how you do a headline without the need to ruffle up the hair of an entire country!”

If mentioning that the hero is Korean-American “ruffle[s] up the hair of an entire country”, does that sound like the headline is the problem?

I tell me kids, before you leave an area, stop and see whether you’ve got everything you came with.

Hopefully with ten episodes, the Lucifer showrunners will indeed keep it sharp and tight. Season bloat did them no favors last year. Would be nice if they could get a little weird on Netflix.

Because it makes us feel better to think they’re not actually all that happy. Wether it justifies the sacrifices we make, or tempers our envy, or feels like that’s how it should be for the things they had to do to get to where they are, or whether we’re miserable and we want to think they are, too . . . no judgement,

“see-loed off”?

This is supposedly the movie that bumped the third Tron.

Tangential question: I looked Andrea Lee up out of curiosity. Half of the pictures show her in some form of stars and stripes getup, or posing with a US flag, and then another half show her in gear sporting the hammer and sicle in red/yellow. Cowboy hat optional for both. Not entirely sure how to process that.

My daughter who I think played the mobile game was very much squeal-y about this, but would it only be available on PS4? We have an Oculus Rift not PS4 VR.

Granting you the first one as intimindating, but which I would say has very muted visual cues to who it is (take away the monacle and nobody is gonna guess that one in a million years, bald/pointy nose not enough, no tux, no umbrella, hard to ascertain physical size), but definitely not the second (try to imagine that

. . . I could potentially see that, although (a) that’s giving a lot of credit to overall DCU collaborative world-building that I’m not sure we’ve seen a lot of great evidence for, (b) I’m not sure you use a tentpole Batman movie primarily for the purpose of trying to set up Birds of Prey, and (c) Affleck doing a

Because the visuals/backstory is all camp. There’s nothing inherently meacing about penguins, and I fail to see how the visual elements of a top hat, monacle, old-timey cigarette thing, tuxedo, or umbrella work for anything except Batman stories that are already bent towards camp. I mean, under “Skills and Abilities”

Honestly I don’t think for the next Batman movie that you up the stakes at all, I think you make a conscious choice to make the story much smaller. Batman seems to have worked best as a human counterbalance to a God-like team, or as the protector of Gotham City. There’s really not a great solo Batman story that would

“the Penguin is being heavily considered as the main villain of Matt Reeves’ The Batman”

In what scenario is a move featuing the Penguin as Batman’s main villain good? I realize that you have to rotate . . . every movie can’t be Joker/Bane/Catwoman. But how is Penguin the next go-to? Outside of Suicide Squad, WB has

We wanted to see one last heroic adventure with the icons we grew up with, while they were still with us. It could have easily been done, even while passing the baton to the new generation. VII put it up on a tee, begging to be hit. Han’s demise, while trying to save his son, could even have fit the arc, if they had

It feels like we should be past having to explain this every.single.time. But it also feels like it’ll never be the end of having to explain this basic thing.

I’d be interested in seeing a gallery of examples of eco-friendly lawns. The community I live in, mainly for the benefit of the school system, is upper class and, quite frankly, people (and HOAs) can be pretty shitty about things they believe affect property values or they just don’t like. Even the last place we

Please don’t tell anyone you’re an atheist. You’re embarrassing us.

So much this.
