I always thought that scene was surely supposed to be funny, but I read so many people complaining about it that I guess it was supposed to be serious? I think it’s the second funniest sex scene ever filmed (next to the Lindsey Lohan sex scene in I Know Who Killed Me).
I am actually incredibly entertained by what’s happening to Noah. He’s such a douchebag; he deserves it! I’m only sad that they’re setting it up to end with he and Helen getting back together, because she absolutely does not deserve that.
I think so too, and I don’t think Eden is confused, I think she’s straight up lying. Not to make herself famous though. She’s lying because Sasha is paying her to lie to try to destroy Noah. She met Sasha with Helen at the party, and Helen told Sasha that Eden probably had an affair with Noah, and that planted the…
Funny, Mother is my least favorite, and Snowpiercer one of my favorites (but nothing tops Memories of Murder, yet). But I agree, he apparently has great taste in movies.
The city council setup seemed pretty authentic to what I’d expect in real life. Which I learned wholly from Parks and Rec.
As much as I think this chop tradition is stupid, it has been mentioned that the Braves aren’t really ditching it. They just gave their fans something to do for years, then - and probably just for today’s game - asked fans to give it back. I think there’s a term for that.
I am convinced they’re returning to the story of Kate’s weight because Future Kate is dead because of it.
I seem to recall that the original plan was for Kate to lose a significant amount of weight and that Chrissy even started working with doctors. It’s not a judgment on her if she couldn’t achieve that, but I’m wondering if they’re now having to retool that subplot behind the scenes. Chris Sullivan’s casting would…
I do appreciate that they don’t seem to just be going in the direction of Kate leaves Toby cos he lost weight. Cos that was my fear with the flashforward and then the seeds they were planting along the way. I do call bull on the fact that Toby clearly booked that lunch and could have explicitly asked for a table. I’m…
Loved the reveal that Omundson wasn’t just a random asshole for Kate to defeat and be the most precious perfect person ever, like this show definitely would have done in the first couple seasons. They’ve definitely gotten more self-aware about that kind of thing, and I’m hoping to see more of him.
“rewritten to involve a more “empowering” comeuppance for Hamm’s fickle lothario”
Would EJ really be Vikram’s child? I mean, Vik was an Indian character played by an Egyptian actor, so I guess it wouldn’t be surprising for a TV show to cast an East Asian actor as the offspring, especially since I’m not feeling too generous toward The Affair these days.
The final season I’m remembering that may rival this is that of the original “Roseanne.” I’ll let Wikipedia do the talking:
“The Coincidence,” I love it: thank you for my first solid laugh on this Monday morning
Good to know there’s an all night train that runs to Montauk in case you’re working through some personal stuff and you need to get there in a hurry.
He did the id1ot podcast with Chris Hardwick and oh boy does he have some stories. It was highly entertaining. From about a year ago.
Excited for this. Looking forward to flashbacks where you find out that she used to be a Canadian pop star, though really that was an undercover assignment for the secret military organization she belonged to.
It’s a good thing there’s a lot of Star Wars and Marvel because I wouldn’t touch any of that other stuff with a 10 foot pole.
Did I miss something earlier about Sierra being an A-list Hollywood actress? It seems like this Bovary part she just got is a big deal, with a big-time director, but have we seen anything before to indicate that Sierra is in that tier? Obviously the Bovary role wouldn’t be her first gig.
