What a wonderfully thorough interview! He’ll always be Eyeliner Man to me. Also, I never realized how he and Eric McCormack of Will & Grace kind of look alike.

It’s a spectacle, you have to at least give it that. The cinematography is gorgeous and the CGI backgrounds are so well integrated that I couldn’t distinguish between the real and the fake.

I don’t really know where we are in the love/hate spectrum of Forrest Gump as a culture, and frankly, I don’t really care.

I can’t say I was a huge fan of either. I am surprised though that the Crash-over-Brokeback Mountain wasn’t mentioned instead of this overlook...

Keep those high hopes. They will be answered, and answered well. Maybe it’s the pandemic, but it was just the happy balm I needed.

My hand is way, way up. The first thing I did after seeing the previous post was go to Wikipedia.

He’ll always be Gregory House to me.  He’s fantastic in this movie, BTW.  And the movie itself is also quite good.  The colorblind casting threw me initially, but then it just all works perfectly as the film goes on.  I wish more filmmakers would do it.

Goodness, Hanks’ character name was Chuck Noland? No land? I just got that, twenty years later.

The trailer was enough for me know that I wouldn’t like this. When I initially heard they were going to make a show about the lower deck ensigns, I naturally thought back to the TNG episode. The reason why that episode worked so well was because we already knew the upper decks so well. So when I thought they’d maybe

It’s one of the bands that have, for me, become inextricable from Mtv and my youth.  Re-watching the “Vacation” video fills me with such sweet nostalgia.  What I’d give to go back to those sunny, summer days.

Holy crap — OK, now I have even MORE admiration for him! So he’s been doing American accent all this time...

I couldn’t agree more. Adkins should be a far, far bigger star than he is. I mean he actually tries to act, and acquits himself quite nicely. I saw Avengement not long ago, and you can plainly hear how much work he put into his British accent. Can you imagine Stallone or Arnold putting in that much effort during their

I admit, I was hoping this was slightly worse so IV could really shred it.

Can some smart cinema person list all the movies she discusses in that clip? What is that Peter Lorre movie? Heckerling is hilarious, real, and just a total downer. I love her.

I saw this back in 2015, on a night that Miranda wasn’t there. From what I've been told, that’s the best version of this show, between 2015 and 2016, when Javier Muñoz took the lead.

It’s just one of these maddening mysteries of life. Doesn’t seem crazy to think she could’ve had Anna Faris’s career...

Palmer Eldritch can’t be a coincidental name... That is a major character in a Philip K Dick novel. One of his best, a total mindfuck.

The first movie I ever saw as a midnight screening the day (or more accurately, night) it was released. Good times.

The first time I saw her was in Wicker Park. Hard to believe she played the plain Jane “ugly” girl of that film.
