I think the current Caddy is the closest thing to the old VW Bus as they are much cheaper than the Transporter but they are still a work van transformed into a passenger car made by VW. Closest thing in the US would be the Transit Connect.

The analog Amazon. Yes! Perfect description. Thank you :-)
It along with it's identical SEAT and Ford sibling just weren't inspiring, yes they were quite popular because MPVs were becoming more of a thing but there still wasn't much choice. Other car companies were joining forces to make MPVs just as Ford and VW did, so there was a few badges, but not as many different cars.
Not enough stars. LOL
Don’t know why but this came to mind..........
I give it a 40% chance that the damage to the bodywork in the rear happened during the photo shoot. It looks like the seller just backed it straight into the wall and said “that should be close enough for me to take my pictures.”
I would be swayed toward this as a purchase of an easy-off face was a feature. Look at all that service access!
It’s in the high school kid just blew 2 years’ summer job savings to drive it till it won’t, and to that buyer I think the rims are just fine
THESE ARE FROM LAST NIGHT
Yeah, it’s not exactly space efficient, but it makes the modules much more flexible in terms of size and shape. The ability to vary the wheelbase is really nice.
I found this guy’s art while looking for Saab concepts. He was an engineer and a Saabophile, so there’s a ton of wonderfully practical drawings. He’s dead,…
Speaking of printer ink, you know how they sell printers for like $50 but then the ink cartridges go dry every 50 pages and you have to send $9000 on new ones? This CL500 is the printer. Enjoy paying $9000 for any part you will definitely have to replace with 50 miles of ownership.
I did not enjoy my UTI “concept.”
I did see a novel solution to that: a FWD car that just splits in half. Just roll the rear up and plug it in.
I much prefer Mercedes’ attempt at modular cars, the VCR (Vario Research Car):
Maybe it’s a case of “the same keys, the same model, the same color”.
Sadly this limo is apparently no longer in service, or at least not under the same company.
This is for the wedding party whose colors are RealTree/Orange, but only when the clapped-out Ram isn’t considered fine enough.
Well.....they said “take any car in the row”....
