I won't lie, I'm kinda irked by the fact that your Bonney comment got an upvote from John Teti and mine didn't.

I was wondering the same thing. For months now, I thought the girl on the poster was Emma Watson, but made up to look dull-eyed.

Stop trying to make "Stop trying to make Josh Gad happen" happen. It already happened in the Pixels review.

Bonney Teti makes me want to learn how to accurately pronounce her last name. Unlike that no-good louse of a son.

Pixels, part II: Uh, actually, They're Voxels

Over the weekend, I saw ads on FX or FXX for something about this show — either a DVD set, or a mini-marathon of episodes, I guess? But the ad specifically instructed, "Catch up on the first season," to which I audibly responded, "You better mean the only season, motherfucker!"

It's actually unreasonable how pleased I am by this news. I actually had to stop myself from shouting "Oh, thank christ," in the middle of my office.

Speaking of welfare queens, it's kind of amazing that Sandler hasn't yet worked with Vince Vaughn. We'd finally get an answer to the age-old question, "What happens when an immovable object meets another immovable object?"

Pac-Man was created by Toru Iwatani. Per Wikipedia, Pixels features "a fictionalized version of Iwatani, portrayed by [actor] Denis Akiyama." But it also says Iwatani makes a cameo appearance, somehow?

He was a pretty good writer (and don't forget he scripted the first Gremlins!), past tense. Bear in mind that his last credited screenplay was for Nine Months with Hugh Grant, which was 1) terrible, and 2) twenty years ago. But he's been chasing the big dumb money ever since Home Alone, and one has to assume that's

As soon as I saw a still of Dinklage's look in the movie, I could instantly tell they were going for a "King of Kong" thing. My first thought was "Oh, that's actually kind of clever," immediately followed by, "And I have no doubt whatsoever that they'll utterly waste even that half-decent idea."

I actually suspect McCown is misremembering that part. I distinctly recall The Maxx and The Head ran on Saturday nights here in the US, right after The State. A quick search shows that the two were part of a block called "MTV's Oddities," not on Liquid Television.

You're right, it's completely consistent. Yet again, Jerry Seinfeld is demanding that no one hold him accountable for his words, no matter how thoughtless or ill-conceived.

Goddamn, Janice.

Man, that shit would be perfect if not for the videographer (term used very loosely). Not only does she commit the cardinal sin of filming vertically on her phone, but she insists on repeatedly making pisspoor, unnecessary attempts at snarky quips. It's like she's reading from a list of sassy bumper sticker slogans.

"I'm sure it would be fascinating."

From the stories I've read, it wasn't that Raimi was given the chance to make a fourth. The problem is that he went batshit crazy.

A lot of them are also bigots, though.

Bingo.

Your presence is a present.
