I will never understand this. If I'd made as much money as JLo, I'd be sitting on a beach somewhere. Why does she persist? Is it not enough money? Does she need the attention? Looking at that video, I can't imagine she's being driven by an all consuming passion to create and make art. So, really, why?

@LadyChatterley: In the article I read, the police already had him in mind because they'd found a hair belonging to a male of african descent at the scene (which I guess belonged to the other guy who was convicted). They then interrogated her about it being him until she folded. Doesn't make it ok, but that's much

@sekushinonyanko: You said it really well. Whether my pants are cutting off my circulation, or they are so long that they are dragging on the ground, they don't fit. It's not really anyone else's business, but I don't see how I can blame other people if they notice that my pants don't fit. As Madge says, when my

@pickles_in_my_tea: I second Kerry's comment. You are clearly not the ignorant one here. A lot of people are taking the "3x the normal level of testosterone" thing and running (I just can't help myself) with it.

@adkaye: Thank you for pointing this out. I went through a really horrible time recently, and one of the toughest parts of it was feeling like I was a burden to the people I care about. Sometimes, the selfishness is just as temporary as the sadness. I just really had to summon all my resources to get through it

@femme-bot: Yes! That nytimes article really disturbed me. They literally taunted that poor girl to death.

@laetitiae: Thank you for this. I'm baffled by the degree of negativity on this thread.

@Titania: I was so disturbed watching that episode, I went the mtv website and watched the after the show clip. I am sad to report that she is STILL with Adam and continues to make excuses for his abusive behavior. I feel sorry for her, but I feel worse for the baby. This is one case where his absence might

@YourStupid!: Whoops! Someone already explained it. Sorry for the double post!

It's hard to see in this picture, but the shoes are actually meant to be worn that way. There's a clear, plastic strap over the toes. Check out this picture where she's wearing the same ones (I am not even pretending to work today). That said, I still think they are weird shoes.

@LaBelleDerbySansMerci: No offense (I just can't help myself!), but "I'm sorry you feel that way" is a terrible and disingenuous way of "apologizing." You're not actually taking responsibility for your words, or directly addressing whatever reasons the person might have for being upset. In my experience, it comes

@the zeeba is galápagosing it up!: Mine is "I'm sorry but..." No, you're not sorry! It's such a passive aggressive and catty way of sharing an opinion.

@didntmeanto: It's a minimum of 7 years. That makes me feel a little bit better.

@BelleBreezing:Snarkiness aside, I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds this confusing.

@Vulcan Has No Moon: Of course! The next time I want to have an abortion, I will remember to have my doctor certify that I am not an undeserving ho face.

Can someone explain how the whole "exception in the case of rape or incest" thing works? Do you have to prove that you've been raped? Does it mean that you have to have gone to the police and filed a report? Pass a lie detector perhaps?

What is up with all the Glee hating? I have some problems with the stereotyping (especially w/ Terri and Mercedes). Everything about the show is over-the-top, and that makes for some pretty big hits or misses in terms of quality. That type of thing also leaves audiences polarized.

@Bgirl_Hamster: I agree with you. These kids were still in high school and living under their parents' roof when they committed a horrific act. Of course all teenagers hide things from their parents. However, this isn't like that time you hid some marijuana in your sock. They had been planning to massacre their
