Word. I remember liking Gilmore Girls when it was on, but good lord is she a horrible actress. It's painful to watch. Same thing when I saw her in Sin City. I'm really hoping Weiner comes to his senses next season.

What's crazy about this story is that it appears Murray did just that. After checking the bags, both women left the store, and then she called her manager. Norwood lured her BACK to the store by saying she forgot her keys and then attacked her. Just scary and horrible.

I was just coming to say the same thing! Not only are they adorable, but her family looks really happy. Good for her!

I am home for the holidays and vegged out in front of the tv. Between this commercial and the Nissan "It's the most wonderful sale of the year!" I'm going to lose my ever loving mind!

"Honestly, a huge component of white privilege is to exist in an echo chamber comprised of all whites validating their own perspectives and dismissing the invested perspectives of people of color when they try to explain the pain they feel."

While I somewhat get what you're saying about not wanting to pit women against each other, I've also found that it's too often used as an excuse to shut down very legitimate critiques of the feminist movement by minority, poor and other disenfranchised women. The idea that one's privilege comes at the cost of another

But, but you are violating their first amendment rights!

Ohhhhh how I hate that one! HOW WAS THAT LEFT OUT!?! I think it might be so annoying that people have stricken it from memory??

Wasn't there a case from 1980s where this happened? I don't remember the exact details, but it was a family run daycare center and they were accused of abusing a lot of kids and performing satanic rituals. Their lives were ruined and it was all false.

It's there in bracket 3...

The line says, "There are also SOME straight guys who will lurk in gay bars to pick up fag hags." Maybe you're reacting more to some other article or comment on this thread, but I don't understand why you're taking such offense.

Thank you for saying this! To me, a big part of being a feminist is appreciating that I have so many choices- my body, my career, my relationships, etc. However, that doesn't mean I expect the world to uncritically embrace my every decision.

But trying to steal something, and using the power of the Internet to shame the store who caught them and possibly trying to drum up money through a lawsuit or settlement

Yeah, I thought there'd be maybe one or two comments trying to explain away the racism, but I'm pretty disappointed to see that most of them are. I really like Jezebel, but this reminds me why I avoid the threads dealing with race.

I agree that it's cruel and flip to tell someone struggling with infertility that they should "just adopt." I also get how such a comment implies that adoption is the easier option when it is anything but. That said, I'm really bothered by some of the blanket assumptions about adopted and foster kids being a burden.

Wait, what are hipster panties?!? I'm at work and can't google. I feel so old and un-hip!

Of course there's nothing wrong with a girl referring to herself as "Foxy." However, she wasn't using to refer to her looks, it was just a silly soccer nickname. My point is that the media used the "foxynoxy" name to slut shame her. They constructed a whole narrative about her being this oversexed, angel-faced

Yes, but I think FoxyNoxy was the nickname she had on her soccer team because she was quick on the field. It was media-invented in the sense that they made it sexual when it wasn't. It's amazing how many little details were distorted to make her look like a murderous slut.

I knew I recognized her from somewhere! There are no words for how much I hated those yogurt commercials. They were mute your tv bad.

She had significant physical injuries, and displayed serious emotional trauma.
