@Scott: That's a very good question.

They're basically saying, "You're wrong, but here's a cheap plastic Chinese mass produced case to shut you up".

No, they're not giving away bumpers. They're "sourcing" some cases to give out. Don't expect anywhere near the quality of the bumper.

@orev: Geez, ok, let me clarify. They're not going to release a firmware then turn around the very next day and announce another, that would presumably be release within a few weeks. I'm sure there's a great deal of testing and overhead involved in each release so I don't see why they'd push out an update to fix a

If they offer swaps, Zagg is NOT going to be happy with all the free replacements of their Invisible Shield they'll have to send out.

I know Apple isn't likely to care too much for the people who have already bought their phone but it seems to me if they want to try to sell people the iPhone 5 next year they need to come up with a real solution that doesn't involve accessories. It's hard to give up your new toy after you bought it but it's pretty

@slinovitz001: Maybe a lot of people, such as myself, are waiting and hoping that Apple does the right thing and somehow fixes the problem.

They're going to release 2 firmware updates on back to back days. Riiiiiight.

Not happy. Every other call is dropped. It's a shame. Before, every now and then when a call was dropped I'd instantly think, "stupid AT&T" and call them back. Now, it happens more often, and everytime it's dropped then first thing I think is, "where's my hand?". Almost every time my thumb is sitting right on that

@worsethannormal: THE ANNOUNCEMENT SAID IT WAS COMING TO PS3 IN JULY. PERIOD.

@worsethannormal: I completely understand that, but it's not what they led us to believe with the initial announcement.

@2010-Camaro: They said "in the coming months". That usually means at least 3. Most likely at least 4 so they can get the group of people who buy 3 months for Hulu to re-up before they open it up to everyone. I just think I'm better off investing in something that will allow me to watch it, and tons of other

Ok, so say I want this and I'm not a PS+ member. They're saying I have first buy the PS+ membership, then ask for a Hulu+ invite which I may or may not get? So I have to gamble the PS+ fee for the chance to pay $10 for Hulu.

I find it a little misleading that they come out and say it's coming to PS3 in July, then say PS+ won't be necessary, then come out and say it'll be available "in the coming months" for non-PS+ people. So basically it'll cost me $20 a month now. Screw that. I was on board with canelling my cable and paying $10 a

@dragon:ONE: You mean the extra 2 dollars that Microsoft has made off of 360 owners from day 1? Oh, and kudos on using the dollar sign as the 'S' in Sony. Clever and original.

@Monty: Yeah, because the iPad "boots up" instantaneously. I don't own an iPad, but I know my iPhone takes several minutes to "boot up" so don't act like that is a Windows exclusive. Leaving a device on and requiring a swipe to activate it is not "booting up".

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.1.1: I said good press not good will. I doubt the iPhone users will look twice at this but it's an opportunity for Apple to look like customer support heroes in the press amidst all the negative publicity over the iPhone and their unwillingness to step up and offer a real solution.

The cynic in me is thinking they only did this to fish for some good press during this whole iPhone antenna debacle.

@Dylan Lloyd: Umm.. Maybe things like the wireless syncing, multi-tasking (until 2 weeks ago), voice control that's actually useful, more intelligent notification system, etc., etc. The list is a rather long one. If Google started after Apple, how do you account for the rapid advancement of Android versus the

Well, if you aren't going to admit that Google was developing Android before the iPhone came around then you pretty much have to admit that they've sense mopped the floor with Apple since then. If they supposedly got in the game so much later than Apple that they have completely out innovated and out paced them.
