Would you expect to see a lot of economy cars from 30 years ago on the road? Honestly?

Looked at one, but decided to get a Red one of these
You could make the same argument about any 20 year gap in vehicle generations.
It honestly makes me wonder if this person has ever set foot in one.
Not that it was an amazing engine but the Mitsu 3.0 in a car that small was an absolute hoot even with the 4 speed auto. The Shadow ES/Duster did what it came to do, which was to make an entertaining car for very little money. I also think they did a great job making it look fresh after all the years, particularly in…
A 5-speed ES with the V-6 or the turbo wasn’t bad though.
What??? These are still cool to this day. One of the best looking cars of the 90s.
Subaru SVX. Unique JDM styling and relatively powerful motor let down by one of the worst transmissions of the era. Add to this the lack of a manual option and insane reliability problems and you’ve got one of the best automotive cases of “I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.” which is worse than being flat out…
The WS6 Firebird could run low/mid 13s stock, which was pretty awesome for an accessible pony car.
No go? Weren’t these quite a bit faster than the Mustang competitors of the time?
With the Quad 4 and the stick it wasn’t terrible in the realm of 90's FWD “performance” cars. 180+hp.
Yea I guess that’s true. Would it be Sacrilege to put a Mercedes V12 in one?
I wonder if part of it is because more people are willing to run their tires until they’re racing slicks. Nobody wants to buy tires, but in areas with snow, you’re forced to when there’s not enough tread to get out of the driveway.
I would say the SN95 Mustang GT. Barely ran a 15 second 1/4 mile if equipped with the 2.73 rear end gears. The brakes were super sketchy. The seats felt like half-inflated pool floats.
Woa wait a second, disappointing how? it did over 200mph with a twin turbo V6 and still looks like nothing else on the road. Granted a straight 6 would have sounded better but still a nice car.
I don’t know, but that version of the Firebird, with the WS6 package had some get up and go. And also had HORRID visibility, like I test drove one when I was 16 or 17, and I was only a couple inches shorter than I am now at 6 foot tall, and you could barely see past the hood in front of you. Also this things are long.
Not sure if it was actually bad to drive, but the catfish Camaro, cause it’s ugly
Look at how nice and in the lines that coupe was driving, minding it’s own business. And then the Bully SUV trying to drive exactly how they would in the dry, because all SUV owners think their cars are invincible because they are larger...Lets ignore that white sedan on the side though, they were an SUV driver prior…
Props to that black sedan for not losing control while the SUV goes crazy around it.
If this was for sale anywhere within shouting distance of me, it would already be in my driveway. A cheap (essentially) cargo van in good nick and AWD for the winter? Yes, please. NP all day.
