I liked the previous gen Explorer better. Specifically the early version pre-facelift. So clean and well proportioned.

The fifth gen Buick Regal GS I think is one of the prettiest commuter cars on the road. Besides the more aggressive front fascia compared to the normal Regals, the factory wheels for the GS I believe are some of the best looking factory wheels I’ve seen on a commuter car.

The Chrysler 300 also gets a Best Buy recommendation from Consumer Reports. Better than a Lexus LS at half the price. 

Fun fact about the Toronado: that horizontal grille was a subtle tribute to the Cord 812, considered to be the first “successful” American FWD car.

1) I never said anything about expired. People sometimes alter plates, which would likely come up “invalid.” As far as typing AZ instead of AR, I am sure people make mistakes at work all of the time.

I am assuming they thought it was a fake plate, that would probably come up “invalid” as well. I don’t find this egregious compared to how US cops usually act.

Automakers purposely pushed people towards trucks and SUVs over cars because they’re more profitable and have lax fuel efficiency standards (in comparison).  Increase the standards/penalties on trucks and move on with life.  Proposing increased taxes on the average Joe is a fairly dickish kneejerk reaction.

Higher fuel taxes only hurt the poor college student that drives his Corolla to a minimum wage job and NOT the rich wall street guy driving his Escalade.
