There is nothing irrational about my hate for “coupe” SUVs. They’re uglier and less practical and more expensive than the standard model.

All of my hatred is rational.

I have an irrational hatred of four-door vehicles that cannot accommodate an adult comfortably in the backseat. Ex: the new Prius. I see people lauding that there is finally a good looking Prius, but those good looks come with failing at the basic function of a sedan. If a vehicle is going to have a useless rear seat,

The only reason why people say it should’ve had a V8 was to say it was gonna be a slow V8. Even the Magnum 360, in its most powerful output, was still heavy enough for the 3.5 to easily walk away from it. Boggles my mind, honestly.

I think that with about half of these picks, the poster nominating the car did not understand what is meant by the word ‘overrated’. For example, no one and I mean no one, today or at the time they were in production thought that the Mustang King Cobra was even a good performance car. We all knew it was badge and tape

One of the worst slideshows I have seen on this site. Most of these cars are not overrated at all. Nobody thinks a Delorean or Mustang 2 or Prowler is a fast car. Everyone knows malaise era cars were slow, but the firebird was fast comparatively.

and all your bass are belong to us.

This might be a bit better known than some, but I’ve had to explain what an early 80's Mercury Capri is a number of times. I paid $200 for an ‘80 RS when I was 15, and rebuilt the Ford 200 straight-6 in it. IMHO, better looking than the Mustang it was sister to.

Mazda 5

The Vector W8. They only made 22, so not knowing about it isn’t too much of a stretch. It’s a practical exercise in weirdness. A 6.0 liter V8 mated to the three speed automatic from the previous generation Oldsmobile Toronado. Carbon fiber and kevlar body, before that was the hotness. It’s like a cross between American

Lancia Type 037

The A32 97-99 Maxima SE w/ Leather was always better bang for the buck then the equivalent Camry of that era. The 02-03 I35 (A33 Maxima) was also a relative bargain on the used market compared to the ES300 (back in those days.)

That said I’m surprised a newer Mini Cooper didn’t make the list. Has anyone driven a Mini

Electric door handles...infotainment features...controls and displays...driving assistance features--oh, and new car powertrains.

I’ll be honest, I has had a poor view of Chrylser/Stellantis quality, mostly been a Honda, Toyota, BMW and Ford person through the decades.

“This just in! Old platforms with ancient tech found to be reliable against new VR-carbon touchscreen-eyeball command-EVs!”

Its almost like cramming unnecessary electronic modules in every thing that isn’t a luxury model has made the manufacturing process bloated, expensive and impossible to manage thus making every aspect of product quality suffer to make deadlines.

J.D. Power says that new features in cars, or more features, overall, are responsible for the decline in quality

So… did you even ask Justin Wilson for a comment before publishing? Or are you simply letting ALXNow perform your research without any context for other initiatives in Alexandria. Your math also fails to check out. A quick read of the background says there are around 41 remaining streets… while 14 years is still hard

There are a couple of these I don’t disagree with, but for most of them, I feel like this is just another piece of evidence in the case for not relying on Consumer Reports for anything automotive related.

Don’t forget aftermarket aero and adjusting suspension so it’s not trying to understeer
