I don’t have a problem with proper SUVs. Something with actual off-road ability and a low range gearbox. But CUVs are just bad minivans that serve no purpose other than to let a certain type of (usually) woman say she doesn’t drive a minivan. Oh honey, you DO drive a minivan, just a really shitty one, and nobody is

Had to scroll down too far for this.

SUVs, any and all SUVs.

It’s always an odd thing to read when people use Chrysler’s internal codes for engines when they talk about them.

On a dollar-per-pound or cubic foot basis, it’s hard to beat a used domestic minivan.

I do not need this, but I definitely want it, which is something I never expected I’d say about a minivan. The owner deserves a prize for keeping the interior cleaner than that of the average minivan with 1/10th of its mileage.

This person staged this $3k car better than most folks stage a $30k car. This is how to do it, people!

That’s the beauty of cloth seats, as long as you don’t tear them, all it takes is a good shampoo and vacuum and they look good as new.  Leather just crazes and stretches or splits over time.  I’m a fan of cloth seats and NP.

EASY Nice Price even with this mileage. Hell, if you didn’t tell anyone what the odo was showing, you could claim it had hardly been driven.

Any running car at that price nowadays is a Nice Price. The fact that this one is in good condition makes it a lock.

The transition we are seeing today is far more than just styling or reliability. It’s a pivot away from ICE technology, and that will introduce a stack of new issues.

It’s easy to dunk on cars from 40 years ago. Technology has moved forward enormously, and cars have changed since. As much as there were some terrible cars (or at least disappointing), there were also some interesting highlights too.

That last slide is just lazy.

I would have to make an argument that the Chevy Celebrity was the fastest, best off road, best handling, best people carrier you could have as a 90s high school kid. Every friend group had one, and they were driven with total abandon and always seemed to keep running. Plus they were sub $1000 and everywhere. You could

gotta say man this is all pretty rad - you did a lot of fun with not a ton of cash -a well loved car for sure

Probably not your expected response, but the dumbest thing I’ve installed on my cars are cheap brake rotors. They warp if it sprinkles on a partly sunny day.

Counterpoint: The VW 2.5 engine has the strangest factory intake I have ever seen, and adding an aftermarket intake on my car actually improved overall year-round average fuel economy by 3%. Additionally, I did before and after acceleration runs (3x from 5-70 mph, on the same day on the same stretch of road in the

That might be dumb enough that is circles around to being genius.

Absolutely a Fiat 500 Abarth. I bought one just over a year ago for $7600 before prices jumped, they’re probably more like $13k now. Currently turning it into a rally car.
