The rear wandering is more likely bad shocks than anything to do with springs.

You do realize simple fluid/filter changes using only ATF+4 fluid at the proper 15-30k intervals would have kept it from needing transmissions right?
Anything that still looks this good at 300k miles has obviously been meticulously cared for, at which, miles mean nothing.
And it’s still just a Honda Insight. A hateful little econobox that goes fast after dumping thousands into it.
The same can be done with ANY econobox, but it doesn’t make any of them suddenly cool, or suddenly comfortable to drive, or suddenly not shitboxes.
Our 1987 Pontiac 6000LE had 40k miles on it when we got it.
My dad and I spent the next 5 years racking up another 240k miles of pure piss pounding on that little 2.8L.
Only issue it had in those 240k miles was failed rear shocks around 190k miles.
It was a very stout/comfortable car.
Painted calipers and drums look far better than rusty crap easily seen behind your wheel.
Intakes are 100% vehicle dependent, it’s not a “1 size fits all” case.
I’m not a big person at 5'7" 150 lbs and I find the Mustangs terribly cramped. No way I’m riding in the back of one.
The Mustang has gained 1" in width while losing 2" in height to it’s previous generation. The gain in width negated by more sloping roof lines that eat further into interior space.
The Mustang is physically smaller than the Challenger, by 8 full inches, right there is your added 300 lbs between them.
Step 1: Define fun.
And at the end of the day, you’d still be driving a washed up Honda Hybrid regardless of how “fast” it was.
It would have opened her eyes as to how wrong all the “Challengers are just boats” people really are.
That being said, I can’t think of a good reason this should outweigh the GT500 by 400 lbs or whatever.
Because it wasn’t owned by a self important douchebag prior to his purchase?
We’re talking about toss-ability, not quarter miles scooter.
We’re also comparing a Full Size BOF sedan to a small 2 door pony car. If you think a modern Mustang weighing as much as a full size sedan is ok, I feel deeply sorry for you.
The GT500 weighs in over 4100lbs. The standard Mustang in V8 trim weighs in at 3800 lbs.
You forget they also make a passenger version, of which consumers have been screaming for more power since it’s introduction.
So, what does Ford do to answer their loyal customers? They put an even less powerful engine in it instead!
