This is pretty low. A cover letter is supposed to help you show the hiring manager what you can bring to a new job, and this woman wants to use skills she's gained in the past to be a victim advocate in the future. This is probably an entry level job for her, or she'd be talkinga bout her criminal justice experience.

The one that was pulled directly from the plot of the latest season of Downton Abbey seems like a good contender. The rest of them seem pretty plausible to me, though.

The "worst" (relatively speaking) part of that photo is the preventable sun damage. You'd think a super model would take better care in that regard. However, she still looks smoking and her face is GORGEOUS.

I would love it if one of these shows actually showed someone choosing to have the abortion. That would be something.

Friday the 13th.

I won first prize in the 3rd grade "Reflections" arts contest for a really nice pastel sketch I did of my mom's Christmas cactus. Should I....send that ribbon onto Beyonce out of respect for art? Or do I get to keep it?

Kids ruin everything. See Season 6 of Gilmore Girls. (It was all downhill after April showed up.)

I mean, idk but having so many corgis that I could conceivably trip on one seems like the opposite of a problem.

PS. Your screenname is awesome. n_n

When Lilo photoshops her photos, Jez makes fun of her. When Beyonce does it, she either had nothing to do with it, or she is a victim to the pressures on women to be perfect, or there's no certainty the obvious photoshop is really a photoshop.

Okay, I haven't even read the full post yet, I just had to come down here and express appreciation for the image that is paired with this headline. I saw those two things together, and guffawed very loudly.

I need to hear more food-related fuck-ups!

Miss Venezuela's costume is inspired by the Araguaney, one of our "natural symbols" along with the Turpial (a bird: Icterus icterus) and the orchid (Cattleya mossiae).

Does anyone else see a human illuminated manuscript?

Idk, Mol's legitimately good in Broadwalk Empire.

Oh there were/are sooooo many rumors about the things Gretchen Moll did to make herself "happen." Pretty sure Crazy Days & Nights revealed some of them to be true. Apparently she was Queen o' the Casting Couch even after she got married, and her husband was OK with it.

I always love these interviews. The subject is always effortlessly cool/chic/casual. They always shop at little vintage shops that you've never heard of. They always meet up at some vegan cafe / gourmet burger / fair-trade organic kale bistro for the interview.

When Vogue interviews me, they'll be all,

Aren't they all alone? Inside?

I really like you, Mark. But I have a red pencil here that is just dying to correct all these typos.

A Juggalo. I would elaborate but I don't really think that's necessary.
