I've tried to watch that movie twice and never quite got past the opening credits, for some reason.

Seems like all signs pointed to a longer movie (haven't seen the longer cut) and then they cut from that.

I think the biggest problem was kinda blueprinting the original movie, in the same way people hated about Force Awakens aping A New Hope.

Remember when the Anchorman director (blanking on his name) was so confident in Anchorman 2 that he had enough footage for an entirely different movie?

I think the movie would have been better if they had somehow done it as an R-rated movie, like Spy or Bridesmaids.

I recently watched the movie and felt like her ad-libs and reaction shots were awkwardly edited into the movie most of the time.

But I think SLP was also LP. Usually an 8 hours EP tape would get you 4 hours of SP and 6 of LP. A 6 hours EP tape would get you like 2 hours 40 minutes of SP and whatever the fuck in LP.
