Horatio Sanz was credited as playing Himself. Do we think he's friends with Craig or Typhoon?

I got 10th in the Gold Derby predictions contest. The two categories I missed on, Original Screenplay and Score, I had originally picked the winners but then switched over at the last minute. I was so. fucking. close. Aghhh!
"if you look at the number of POC who have won acting awards in recent years versus the percentage of POC in leading roles in major Hollywood productions every year"
Booooo. Bring back Late Night Snack.
I think a lot of people do feel that way, but a lot of people want to reward Inarritu for pulling off the single take thing too. And I think the non-professional/non-union actor element is going to count against Linklater too. And you can't ignore the DGA.
Statistically speaking, if you look at the number of POC who have won acting awards in recent years versus the percentage of POC in leading roles in major Hollywood productions every year, the Oscars have actually been more diverse than the industry they're honoring. Just saying.
Has nobody seen the cinematic masterpiece that is Thumb Wars?!
I would be genuinely surprised if there was yet another split. It's happened the past two years (one of which was an even more ridiculous anomaly, with Affleck not even being nominated), and I don't think there has ever been a BP/BD split three years in a row. I also don't know how much people like Linklater in…
I don't think he should of berated her, it just happened so quickly that I felt like I hardly had time to process it. It was glossed over almost as quickly as it happened.
Yeah, Animated Feature is always a tough one to call. The Annies are the closest thing to a decent precursor. But now you've got me thinking about it. The first HTTYD won the Annie and lost the Oscar, and HTTYD2 isn't quite as critically revered and didn't have as a strong of a box office.
Then again Big Hero 6 is no To…
Americans more worthy of a biopic? OH, I don't know, how about BURT MACKLIN? You know, from the FUCKING FBI.
645 theaters is not that wide of a release. Whiplash was nominated for Best Picture and I would not consider that a "Hollywood" movie. Plus, it's a a two and half hour adaptation of a Thomas Pynchon novel. Yeah, it's got Owen Wilson and Reese Witherspoon, but then using that logic, Southland Tales was a "mainstream…
Don't get me wrong, I thought she was great too, but the award is Julianne Moore's to lose. Even the BAFTAs, the British Oscars, went with Moore over the British Rosamund Pike, and they will sometimes pick a Brit instead of an American frontrunner.
You are going to lose your money.
I enjoyed Two Days, One Night, but one thing about it really bugged me. If you haven't seen the film then stop reading now, as I'm about to discuss a pretty major event that occurs.
All right, you thumbs, listen up. A one-armed man killed my wife Sabrina, a Working Girl. And now I'm a Fugitive and in Clear and Present Danger. I should be Presumed Innocent, but they're playing Patriot Games with me; Raiders, Regarding Henry, Blade Runner and Air Force One.
Don't you mean All You Need is To Live, Die, Repeat On the Edge of Tomorrow?
Yeah, but he's best known for Madea, and people don't understand how to differentiate based on context, so it becomes "TYLER PERRY WTF MADEA CANT BE A GUD ACTOR LULZ!"
Wow. Well then yeah, no wonder.
Inherent Vice is a lot of things. Mainstream Hollywood movie is not one of them.
