Generally, I liked this episode. It won't be in my Top Ten, but I didn't hate it.

Note that the shots of the upcoming episode(s) have a lot of time-stuff in them, as well as 11 in a toga with a beard, so I wouldn't be surprised if the 200 years takes place next episode.
"Gentlemen, our goals are two-fold: We want to record thoughts as images, and we want it to look almost exactly like how it did in Until The End of the World."
That's what I always think when I see folks talking about remaking Buckaroo Banzai — why? The premise is literally asking for sequels! And much like the Bond films, you really wouldn't have to know anything about the earlier films to grok the premise.
I adore the dog.
By my yardstick, that notion worked quite well in Andromeda — the actual in-system AI of "Rommy", the on-ship holographic projection of an avatar for the AI, and the off-ship remote android for the AI.
Previously, I would have said Time Lords would pray to Rassilon, but well... we saw how *that* worked out.
Ooh! I like that! I just wish the episode's author had had the Doctor point that out ("So, Gibbis. Did you think that fish was just another fabricated thing, like the apples and the tea?")
The other seeming discrepancy in this one is that Rory saw the fire-door, and half-mentioned it to the Doctor, who promptly brushed it off.
I'm pretty sure he did, but it struck me as odd that the Doctor was so particular about bringing the fish along for the conclusion of the bathroom scene, just so the fish could get munched by Ol' Ratboy.
No clue what the episode's author was considering, but I myself pictured the TARDIS shutting down, folks/planets being destroyed on the viewscreen, and the Doctor unable to save them.
Did I miss what was up with the goldfish?
The 2nd Doctor's "Seeds of Death" are a good example of the up-sides and down-sides of the OldWho serial format.
So I don't have to go back and check, are the com-link glasses the same model as Tenth Doctor's "Brainy Specs"?
The dolls are about the only thing that irked me about this episode. It almost seems like they'd worked up the outline, then realized, "Oh yeah, we should probably toss in some antagonist, instead of having the re-located folks just running around in the dollhouse".
I'm rather hoping the South American end of the Blessing has air whooshing out of it.
I think the thing with Rhys being a particular jerk was a set-up so he could "redeem" himself by having the epiphany about antipodes.
Although I've never had problems with River herself, I'm not sure I really like this whole "Amy's daughter, who was programmed to kill the Doctor" thing.
The bit that made me laugh out loud was Zoidberg's door.
Saw it, earlier tonight.
