This was my thought as well, although I'll have to re-watch the bit where it first gets triggered (and possibly do a few screen-shots to check details) before I can be positive.

This week's backed that up as well.
If I recall, pretty much just some snail-type things and a very few flowers have actual blue pigmentation. Most all other living blue things (eye, butterflies, birds, etc..) are that way due to light trickery.
RE: Backing up the girls
The technical term is the "perineum".
I stumbled upon this a while ago when checking out why folks warned against using metal bits when making kombucha. I like to imagine that this is why most of the metals on the bacteria-killing list are used for coins (IE: the cultures that used the wrong materials died off), but I have serious doubts that there's any…
I'm still amazed nobody has made a popular wrist-watch styled one, a la Dick Tracy.
And although they still can't use "viral" correctly, I was surprised to see the writers properly giving Leila an accurate use of the term "terrorist/terrorism"*. That's better than some actual news-writers do.
My first thought, when they were getting the busses, was that the busses would have some sort of trackers and remote-activated sleep-gas cannisters in them. Apparently not.
I know!
Hold the can sideways, give it some vigorous shakes, then set it upright.
Ah! Good point and good catch!
That was my guess as well. The evil scientist dude (Mr. Brain Dissection) was wearing a black jacket over a white shirt, just like the Observer, but I was quite sure it was the scientist who was handed the blood card, and then handed it to Walternate.
And I started to wonder, as the VPE citations were flying fast and furious, why a Cesarean wouldn't solve the problem?
What I really like about Fringe is that it pulls off a pretty good series arc; basically learning from X-Files' mistakes.
The pills bugged me as they were happening, until it turned out that it was all a scheme of Walternate's.
Generally that's been the case, true. But as 11th Hour Podcast points out, they're also happy with indirect extermination.
@Zoo: I've often thought it'd be nice to have some "off-camera Daleks" now and again.
For quite some time, with online text-based RPGs (IE: MUSH/MUX things), I've railed against the idea of in-character (IC) punishments for out-of-character (OOC) negative actions, but then it was pointed out to me that it's quite routine to have IC rewards for OOC positive actions.
Now that'd be cool!
