As the guy behind the camera said, I think the independent front suspension is the problem here. It just doesn’t have enough flex, and the camber doesn’t change as the wheel goes up and down. It slid down that rock because it was only making contact with the very edge of the tire. You really need a solid front axle to

EcoBoost Mustang. Duh. Ticks all the boxes, and you can have a brand new one with money left over.

I’m glad this asshole is finally getting some of what’s coming to him, but I can’t help wondering if he literally can’t envision a form of “living his life” that doesn’t involve a long gun propped against a hot tub.

What is it with assholes and Lambos? I guess a car company whose entire brand image is “I’M RICH, PAY ATTENTION TO ME” appeals to egocentric dickheads whose brain works the same way.

Driving stick really isn’t an essential skill anymore. If you want a manual car these days, it takes some effort to hunt one down.

Tangentially related: in the Cars universe, how exactly do cars die? We know Doc Hudson died between Cars 1 and 2, but... of what, exactly? Rust? Old age? An accident so horrific that he couldn’t be rebuilt like he was before? Are the rules for cars the same as they are for toys?

Why on earth would you not wrap it in a plastic bag or something? Jeez. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from this pandemic, you’d think it would be hygiene.

I respect it as well, but I just don’t see the appeal of chopped cars. All I see is a car that was proportioned correctly before, and isn’t any more.

Why does the electric vehicle have to be a separate category? Just make one of the vehicles a model with an optional electric drivetrain. Two in one. Speaking of which, I think it’s obvious that every model chosen should be one with a ton of options to suit individual buyers’ needs.

Counterpoint: no. Chopping does nothing but make a car worse in every possible way.

I’ve been seeing these around for several months here in Canada. Seems like a neat little car.

*slow clap*

I did a bit of research a while back to find out which oil companies were the most and least evil. Obviously none of them are good, but there’s going to be gas cars on the road for at least another couple of decades, and they have to run on something, so we might as well make an effort.

Tesla fanboys act like Elon invented the electric car. Not only is it a much older idea than him, but even the current wave of EVs was under way before Elon joined the party. The Nissan Leaf came out a year before the Model S, and was a much more accessible car to the masses. (I don’t count the original Roadster

Electric cars, as a concept, are good. Elon Musk, specifically, is not.

It’s a very familiar vehicle. It’s the car I learned stick in, and it was a shared daily driver for a while before I got my Leaf.

You claim you’re not trying to prove something, but the fact that you think of driving an automatic as “wussing out” suggests that maybe you are, in fact, trying to prove something.

You are paying more attention, but you’re paying more attention to the car, not the road.

Agreed. When I’m driving a friend’s manual, I find I’m actually more prone to mistakes because I’m focusing on being in the right gear rather than what’s outside the car. In my Leaf, the car basically just goes where I point it at whatever speed I tell it to, and I can focus on driving better.

“How do you know how to do that? Nobody can start this car but me.”
