I love your interpretation of those braids. :)

People, please start believing that health care IS the miracle God sent you.
Bardot donned a wedding dress made of gingham in 1959, The Cut notes, kicking off the trend. Sean Connery and Goldie Hawn followed suit.
Yeah, both situations have their upsides, but the whining, the leakage, the gentle but annoying biting? Puppies aren’t that much better though.
1 Peter 3:3 is often translated/interpreted to explicitly forbid elaborate braids (among other external adornments) in Christian women as it’s a sign of wealth/vanity. And as a woman with waist-length hair who worked in agriculture for years...there are way easier and more practical hairstyles than that kind of…
Because you didn’t have eleven sister-wives to help you?
It’s the only thing the women are allowed to do without their husband’s permission.
“Wall Street takes at least three years to recognize that a once-popular retailer who made their name producing relatively affordable well-made basics will tank when they flip off their customer base and shift to weird unflattering trendoid pieces of shitty quality and astronomical prices.”
I concur with the idea that many people are in immigration limbo, as our government is months/years behind on all kinds of their activities that are non-essential (even then with essential functions, they are typically behind the curve).
This is a goofy attempt a word policing to distract people from the issue. If you are trying to make a point, for or against amnesty, legal immigration etc, people will interrupt you with a non-sequitur “People can’t be illegal, you racist” and then nothing more can be debated.

I’ve worked with some great nurses who really taught me a lot. But, I’ve worked with some real assholes too. God-forbid if a patient needs something and its a…
I’m not a fan of these “let’s support profession XYZ” stories.
Can we cut it out with this artificial war between doctors and nurses? They are both demanding and stress filled careers, and wonderful men and women fill their ranks. Neither group could exist without the other, and neither can do the other’s job.
Oh I know, I am playing with fire here.
Oh cool, we get to hear from nurses!
Lauren, take it from someone who spent her pre-wedding year trying to slim down and ended up with 382 straight days of being hungry, angry, blisteringly self-critical, and, eventually, clinically depressed: your wedding weight doesn’t matter.
Something like that would inspire me to get the lawn spray painted green and say it’s dressed up as living grass. (We have a mild drought going on here too, and my 2 neighbors across the street blithely continue to water their lawns as fall is in full swing. Jokes on them, since my brown law turned green in 2 days,…
