Somewhere (in Portland, probably) there’s a machine that spits dudes like those guys out by the dozens. We must find this machine, lest we be flooded with inane conversations about small batch bourbon and banjo / mustache wax.

The Decemberists were on the Simpsons, did a guitar-off on the Colbert Report, get talked about endlessly at the AV club...they’re not exactly obscure.

Not to mention even if you get the tickets you are now going to see the artist in a massive venue with thousands of others and the speakers will be too loud so you can’t really appreciate it anyway. I don’t blame the Beatles for stopping touring; they were right.

We are in a weird period of US history indeed. For 239 years, white people have had the market cornered on wealth, representation, lobbying, law enforcement, job placement, demographics, media (need I go on?).
