Counterpoint: The game has been out for 16 years and for a lot of people still playing, leveling is a tedious speed bump for the actual meat of the game. The level squish and subsequent reduction in leveling time is pretty much the only reason I came back to the game.

Yeah that would be rough with the kid, I would imagine.

Yeah that struck me s odd, too. Most of the time my beard smells better than the rest of me because of beard oil, but I can’t really imagine a scenario where basic hygiene is in play where a beard would smell particularly bad.

To be fair, he did say he has a strong anti-beard bias, but you’re right. If the hair in choice was changed to pubic hair, the answer would have been very different.

If you’re already on Netflix looking for comedy, there’s a lot on there that isn’t Pete Davidson.  Unless you’ve exhausted all other stand up specials on Netflix, I can’t imagine a scenario where you’d need or want to watch this.

Also in my (late) mid-30's, and all of my friends had the same basic experience. As long as we had our shit handled (school work, after school jobs, etc), our parents didn’t really care too much how we spent our free time, as long as we were not doing anything dumb.

Yeah.  Nugent is a huge piece of shit, but Stranglehold is awesome.

When Anthem was fun, it was really fun. I had a generally Very Good Time© for about 70 hours, which is well worth for me. But, when the good time stopped, it did not gradually stop. It used a concrete wall to stop.

Why did they land closer to ripping off Pokemon when they could have kept it a close but respectful homage?

Jazz people are always trying to act like they are some kind of silent majority, when in fact jazz people are weird and drastically inflate the enjoyment to be had from jazz.

I always see people complaining about the meta in various games, and I find it amusing how many people seem totally incensed by the fact that there’s a meta at all.

The last line or two about it being a generally accepted way of playing is pretty accurate, but the “dictionary” definition is way too exaggerated.  No meta is ever about playing “outside the prescribed rules of the game”, because then the meta would be cheating.  While that might be the case for some fringe case

Star Wars and timelines that are absurdly fast. Name a more iconic duo.

Yeah, I suspect it’s more or less an issue of Disney and/or other decision makers just not wanting to use the music. Neither of the bands represented by t-shirts (GNR, NIN) were used in the movies. It kind of drew a picture of Carol as somebody who was more into hard rock than your standard grunge/alt-pop stuff that

I’m an entrepreneur, my latest business venture is making vintage designer clothes for mice. My wife volunteers teaching dogs with special needs to do taxes, and we have a beautiful potbelly pig named Ms. Levinia Bacon. We need a house built in the 1940's, renovated no more than 5 years ago, within walking distance of

Yeah, that would have been good.  I mean really anything that would get a reaction besides “of-fucking-course you use this song here” would have been better.

I was going to say the same thing. She rocks a NIN shirt for a significant portion of the movie and there’s not a single NIN song in the movie. I figured they either couldn’t get rights or figure out an “appropriate” NIN song. Personally I think Down In It could have been worked in somewhere, but maybe it didn’t quite

They need more of the weird space music on the soundtrack and like, two fewer needle drop pop songs

No... quiche is like breakfast pie.  Breakfast casserole is a different, very tasty thing.

I make a killer breakfast casserole. I’m not much of a cook, but once I moved out of the house, I needed to know how to make it for myself. It’s the easiest thing in the world, the only minor wrinkle is that you have to refrigerate it for a while - preferably over night - before cooking it.
