I’m shocked.  Absolutely shocked.

Big difference between being a public facing group and then suddenly getting an “Ad” for what you’re doing on a website visited by hundreds of thousands.

Yes, as somebody who grew up in the church, this guy is literally every youth pastor ever, he just found a relatively untapped market of impressionable and possibly vulnerable people to exploit through the idea of common ground.

And it’s also the question of a pastor trying to do what’s best for, and defend his flock, from a now very public spotlight put on them.

but we also need to realize not every story about religion needs to a hit piece.

The lack of publicised involvement from a writer the comic industry leads me to expect the story and character stuff to be dumb and/or bad.

I’m an adult, when I eat my daily string cheese at lunch*, I’m going to bite it. I do not have time to fritter away peeling a small sliver of it off. I’m going to eat it in 4-5 bites and move on.

I’m really surprised to see so much love for MH around here. While I played the absolute shit out of it, it was pretty jank for the large majority of it’s existence, and if it didn’t have the Marvel license and roster, it wouldn’t have lasted anywhere near as long as it did.

The after-cut hair wash is, by far, the best thing about getting a haircut.

This is largely why I have stopped playing Underlords for a while. With the relatively quick patch cycle, the meta changes a lot and I get tired of trying to keep up with it.

Im sure the current state of the game is much better now than what it was before but I just don’t see myself going back to it..

Depends on how you value games.

The police aren’t good at self-policing.

I’m white and old yet, I’m wary of cops these days.

My wife, who is a huge HP fan, has been playing it. I played Pokemon Go for a bit, and tried this one out. It’s very similar in almost every way, but there’s a lot more to do. That doesn’t necessarily make it better, mind you. Just more dense with stuff to do.  They added an awful lot of game-adjacent stuff (skill

If I was considering picking this game up, and accidentally ended up on the RP server and didn’t realize until later, I’d be pretty pissed.

Yep - this is very similar to my current issue. I was unemployed, my wife got a new job across the state and I elected not to move my ‘93 Plymouth Laser with us, as I didn’t trust it for extended highway speeds. While I was unemployed, having one car didn’t make much difference. I got a job, so bought a ‘12 Focus.

I can’t get into MMOs much now anymore for the life of me. I’m not sure if they’ve changed or if I have.

I think the survival-builder genres are eating a lot of potential future MMO lunches. It fits a lot of what you just said - a sandbox, loose progression, etc. PvP is largely going to be toxic by default, but it is what it is.

I think individual star power is just so low in baseball in general because one player with mildly competent support can’t carry a team to/through the postseason. An absolute ace pitcher gives you a good chance (but not guaranteed - see: DeGrom, Jacob - 2018) to win every 5th game. An absolute stud of a hitter might
