The problem with putting Biggs back into the movie was that there was an entire scene on Tattoine where Luke has a conversation with Biggs. Without that context Biggs is just confusing.

No. Wrong. You should feel bad about yourself. Jabba is supposed to be a ruthless crime boss. He doesn't approach you, you must come to him. And stomp on his tail? Han should have been dead on the spot. Awful scene.
I get that Biggs death had less weight because we hadn’t seen him until right before he died, but this scene still strikes me as weird, mostly because Luke is joyously beaming about seeing his best friend again, which I find odd because Luke had just lost his adoptive parents and mentor in the last day or so. Yet no…
Myself? I liked Yub Nub better than Kumbiya.
“Dash Rendar” my ass.
Because yub nub was simply delightful perhaps?
Because “Yub Nub” was a modern classic of cinematic music?
What!!!!! Are you insane! The way the Emperor was conceived in The Empire Strikes Back was so much more superior to what came in Return of the Jedi and the prequels. The emperor as this Medieval Pope-like figure, isolated from the day-to-day operations of his empire, sending out his minions to do his bidding was far…
It doesn’t even make sense! Why is his ghost young while Yoda and Kenobi are still older?
McDormands makeup in the sequels and this scene are terrible. Especially when his hood is down. I don’t know why they couldn’t match it to the original. Did they ever explain why he became so disfigured? Was it just is force lightning?
Hey, there’s your stupid N64 Shadows of the Empire tie-in right there.
The fact that “Jedi Rocks” is bad does not make “Lapti Nek” any better.
It looks like he’s making hand binoculars.
I just purchased the blu-rays when they were on sale a couple weeks ago, because I had finally forgotten my anger at all the dumb additions. Which means it was the first time I had watched the original trilogy in 15 or 16 years.
Gotta disagree on this one. There are two problems with this. First, you can see way too much of the Emperor. He’s not shrouded in mystery like he was originally. Lucas made this change with the idea that we had already seen this dude before. He forgot that we hadn’t seen him up to this point and it ruins some of the…
“I honestly don’t even really mind the Annakin Force Ghost change at the end of Jedi.”
Adding Biggs Back In
Jedi Rocks is so bad. SO BAD.
The only improvement.
I get what you’re doing in #3, but Jesus, that new song and animation is so bad it irreparably taints the additional footage in the Rancor den.
