Yeah.. You’re oldschool.

Naw: keep dumping on it. That way they’ll get down into my affordability range all the sooner!

People cross-shop the WRX and 86/BRZ way more than you’d probably think.

Timing is everything in the car world, and the Japananese auto industry is shit at timing. Let’s start with the NSX:

Stock!

This is literally a wagon. Idk why all of jalopnik is freaking out

Considering that Toyota now has two different gasoline engines at 41% efficiency, and one port-injected (meaning good particulate matter emissions performance) 40% efficient engine, all of which are paired with hybrid systems that keep them very close to the efficiency peak (unlike diesels) and recover kinetic energy

I believe this is a new platform shared with the coming-soon Genesis G70. I do not think it is shared with the older G80 and G90 available since 2015. I may be wrong, but I’m usually not.

Well true, but the original post mentioned interior panels that were falling off a show car. It sounds like you’re referring to all-around long-term reliability, which is a broader target. One I’m still not the least bit concerned about, btw.

Definition of useless items: Camo wrap on a next gen 911. You aren’t fooling anyone Porsche.

My opinion of Stability Control isn’t popular, especially to people here. It’s needed because a lot of modern cars are just too quick and powerful for the ability people that are driving them. They usually have automatic transmissions where the driver presses the pedal a little and is doing 50 in a few seconds. Next

I have a hard time considering something that shares the underpinnings with a Chevrolet, a luxury vehicle.

I tend to agree on this point. I personally think that GMC is a waste, since a base GMC is just a Chevy truck with a different grill, and a Denali is just an Escalade without the badge.

Honest question: Can a GMC be considered a luxury vehicle? One could argue that the Denali is just a luxurious trim of a basic vehicle... I don’t consider the Grand Cherokee Summit a luxury vehicle despite it being very luxurious, it’s just a fancy trimmed Jeep.

If it really has 335 bhp & weighs 3284#, that’s 500# lighter than a 1LE.

And have a real interior.

And have windows that humans can see out of.

And not look like a Camaro.

By the way, the 200 bhp in the FR-S/86/BRZ IS enough.

Except the whole steel beds are so much tougher than Aluminium thing is mostly bullshit. The repair cost is higher though.

Rational car purchasing and Mother’s often don’t go well together. My Mother is on her third Mini (a Countryman) even through all three have been expensive, unreliable and possibly given her backache?
