Exactly. I don’t care about lap times. I autocross for fun, I’m almost always the only one in my class that’s not on 200TW tires and that’s by choice. That doesn’t mean I’m last either :P . I went with the car that’s the most fun to drive at the limit. And hell yes on those looks.

AutoX and Track days bro. I agree, the Boxster is more fun when driven at 60%, but at 100% the Z4 is much more playful.

The E85 convertible only has a soft top option, which does intrude into the trunk, but the trunk space is respectable, and not as shallow as the boxster’s. Either car would fulfill my DD requirements, so I picked the one I liked to drive more.

The E85 Z4 is such an underappreciated car. Yea its slightly heavier than the Boxster, but still only 300lbs, and the N52 has a much better torque curve. It’s not as sharp as the Porsche, but that means it’s much easier to drive at the limit. You buy the Porsche if you care about lap times, the Z4 if you want…
