Confirmed. This is a 4000lbs family sedan that has been proven to make at least one C6 Z06 owner laugh like a baby. Tall drivers will feel extremely comfortable in it too.

At 80mph you’re not going to get to the claimed range no matter the temperature outside so you’ll be fine in the summer but really pushing it in the winter. If you drop to 70-75mph you’ll be fine in any season.
Since 2005 and until I bought a Model 3, I owned BMWs exclusively. The other car in the family is a 135i. Have plenty of seat time in a friend’s C6 Z06. Outside of a race track, the driving experience in my dual motor non-P is head and shoulders above everything I’ve driven in my life. The only reason I can still…
There are two Ws that matter:
EU (WLTP) Z4 is B58B30M1 with 250kW, US (non-WLTP) Z4 is B58B30O1 with 285kW. It’s that simple.
This is some quality BS about the engines.
Replace the boring cottage cheese with good tvorog from your nearest Russian grocery, and your advice is basically what millions of Eastern Europeans have been having for breakfast for ages.
All US models will have AWD as either optional (228i) or standard (M235i).
You do know that even this yellow is a BMW color, right? Atacama Yellow to be precise, used on Z4 a decade ago.
The question in the title: if you have to ask you don’t belong here.
M8 and M8 Competition will have the same power output as the current M5 and M5 Competition. 650hp is wishful thinking.
Competition will be its own model and will likely be available at the same time as the other variants.
To clarify, the rwd vs awd is not exactly a choice BMW will have to make, we will likely get both.
This car will NOT be sold in the U.S.
This is exactly what I posted on Bimmerpost like a year ago, but only had to use just a single sentence instead of this drawn-out part number by part number comparison.
And I don’t even want to think how long it took you without direct SQL access to ETK’s transbase data...
B58C is B58B30M1, the lower powered version also used on the European Z4 M40i. The US B58B30O1 is B58D.
So BMW looked at Tesla interiors and decided they’re a great thing to copy? Seriously?
I’m 6'6". Any German car will work. My wife and I once got a 135i from 0 miles at BMW Welt to 1200 miles at Frankfurt Airport in a week of driving, and I never felt uncomfortable. Audis, VWs, BMWs are all sized for Europeans, where there are way more 198cm tall men than here.
TSLA is up 5.8% today. How does it matter? Did Musk unsmoke that joint to make it happen?
I’m guessing you didn’t actually watch the video. It was two hours of really serious and thoughtful conversation, with maybe two or three minutes total of silliness. It actually eased my concerns about Musk’s mental state.
